Although specifically at this moment I'm in bed, looking out the window at a gum tree in the grey morning light. In Somerset. One of these weekends I'm going to do something nice in Bucks. But not this one or next weekend, cos I can't quite fit the remaining stuff in my car after all (rats!) and I've still got all the plants from the garden to bring up. I'd forgotten how big some of the pots were... But have a pic from yesterday, just cos.

It was on the way to the recycling place, there were dozens and dozens of birds in a tree, and then even more lined up along the wire, waiting for their turn... Not exciting, I know, but they were fun. *g*

Went to see Logan with sci-fi friend last night, and it wasn't at all what I'd been expecting from the trailers, which was a post-apocalyptic sci-fi film - turned out to be in the X-Men franchise, which I'd only seen the first couple of, and was basically a Wolverine film. Much slashing of stuff, talking about regretting it and killing being bad, and then going on to slash and kill more stuff. It kept my attention, but it was all a bit same-y and definitely for people who knew more of the character background. Oh well - still fun to see a movie!

Hope you're all having a nice weekend... *g*

I like the birds, they are so funny all sitting in a row. And it means that spring is returning!

We have sunshine amazingly, they said it would be cold and overcast....
Snowdrops in droves behind the rabbit hatch so we can hardly see them, but crocus in purple and yellow in front of the pavillion and the tulips and daffodils are stretching their leaves out!
Everything is budding, spring is in the air, YAY!!

Duh for having to come back again next weekend. Are you at least done cleaning?
Will you visit a fun place on your way back?

I've seen a few hardy daffodils, but most of the spring flowers are still snuggled underground round my way.

All those birds reminded me of the 'The Birds' - the Hitchcock film. I'll look at them again with your spring goggles on!

Hurrah - spring! It's bright blue sky and sunshine here this morning, and I think I'll take the kids on another chilly-picnic to Willen Lake, and find the playground this morning.

(Okay, and I started typing that this morning, the day continued blue-skyed, but we didn't go to Willen Lake, we went and found a Magical Garden at a park. It was muddy, though! *g* Nice day though - spring! And it's light for longer too - yeay! *g*

I'm not quite done cleaning - I need to mop all the floors, and do some of the skirting boards still. And clean the gravel garden of weeds. I'm very tired of cleaning in general right now, I have to say! It'd be nice to visit a fun place on the way back - if I left early enough on Sunday then I could, but I've not managed to leave that early in the other visits, so we'll see. Surely this will be the last little bits, and I can!

I think it's quite a striking picture, although Milomaus' take on it is much more benign than mine. I think maybe that's the way I should go :0)

Lol - you wouldn't have liked the crowds in the tree then! *g* I definitely prefer the chattering-birds-enjoying-the-spring take!

The birds must know that's the place to be. It does make a great photo. Isn't it amazing how we seem to gather more things than we even know we have. I bet when you were packing you came across things you'd forgotten about.

Thanks! I actually came across things I'd forgotten when I was unpacking again this time - old fandom things, from before I knew what "fandom" was (Blakes 7, Doctor Who, Star Wars... *g*) Good fun to look at again now, too! *g*

Maybe by the time you have everything moved, spring will really be there, and you can plan interesting weekend trips!
Could your car pull something like this, for the plants?

We got our promised snow for today, even though the thermometer says it's several degrees too warm. It's just wet flakes and nothing is sticking. Last year, we had really warm weather around this time. Maybe during spring break!

The MG is ailing again! The darn transmission. Fortunately, it's still under warranty from last years fix, but not good so close to a trip. We may have to take the car and a tent, if it can't be fixed before the 16th.

What kind of birds are they, in your picture?

I sort of have a half-and-half load. If it wasn't for having a few extra bits to bring back, I probably could get them all in the car - I don't think there's really enough for a trailer, though it's a good thought otherwise!

I shall cross fingers for warm weather for you again too - and especially for your spring break holiday. Ack for MG though - I hope you can get it fixed in time. How long are you going for? Where are you going? Tell all! And please take pictures. *g*

The birds were just ordinary... oh, now... blackbirds, I think (rather than ravens or crows - I seem to remember having this conversation before! There's a difference between them all, and these ones were relatively small, which I think makes them blackbirds!)

The warm weather is a bit shy this year! We actually had a two hour delayed start at school today, because of a few snowflakes.
I assume there was more snow at 6:30am, when the decision was made, but by 8:30am there was literally nothing left.

We used the extra time to tidy up the classroom. There is never enough time for that.

We are going on a 10-12 day trip, first visiting Mr. Siskiou's mom and then heading to Arizona.
I never quite know exactly where we will go. Mr. Siskiou plans it as a wedding anniversary surprise every year.
This is one of the locations I know of:
