Lovely day in London yesterday - met up with [livejournal.com profile] angel_ci5 and made time vanish over coffee and Pros-y chat. I swear, we met at 10am, when I looked at my watch a minute later it was 11.30am, and a minute after that it was past one in the afternoon! How does that happen?! It's all to do with the lads...

...what MS and LC did with them, how and why they did it, and what we all make of it... The fic, the vids, the zines and art, the challenges - it all comes down Bodie and Doyle, right? *g* And then there was the Plinth and the Bockers, and eternal Pros-y chat... )

It's a brilliant night for Pros so far - I found Prosfic by a new author, there's Prosfic by an old author being archived (yeay for archivists posting fic that we can't find elsewhere on line - worth a cheer that! *g*) and in just under half an hour, Female Factor is on! Yeay!

Some other ramblings about much stuff )

Well, I should have been writing, I should have been reading about sea ice, I should have been answering overdue emails or doing my Russian homework, or working on the other billions of things in the queue to be got on with. But I didn't. I watched Operation Daybreak instead. This is where the spoilers are... )

Meanwhile, Martin Shaw was excellent in his part, I thought - just shows the man really can act, and always could. So there.

And here is the Pros bit of my rambling which is still spoiler-y for the film. )

So shouldn't be posting right now, cos in work, but I had to share this with people who might properly appreciate it. One of the women here in the office has left a bag on the table and it has a sort of logo thing on it:

"SNUG - SAS Northern Use Group".

Yes! How do you get access I wonder, and does it mean that you can call them up and ... um... use them at any time? D'you have to make an appointment, or do they do immediate call-out? And... individually, or would you get the whole SAS at once? Oh so many questions... enquiring minds need to know!

I tend not to read Dave Matthews site regularly, more browse through when I'm looking for specifics, but today I discovered something interesting in his updated Bullet-In. Thought I'd copy it here in case anyone else missed it at the new year. Also there's a slightly blurry but nice pic of MS in AMFAS : )

Am very excited. Just re-watched Stopover, and ... I understood what Radook said to Kodai at the end! The actual words! Turns out this learning Russian lark might be useful...

Also, got my [livejournal.com profile] picfor1000 challenge today. It's gonna be... challenging. But fun! I know I have about a thousand WIPs sitting around, but I'm feeling all inspired and spring-like about this one : )

Have also discovered the joys of Elizabeth Holden, Keynote Press Pros zines, and Rediscovered In A Graveyard by HG. And I am gonna post about them properly soon. As soon as my eyes stop melting.
