I've figured out and solved the problem - I rather suspect it was basically all the people and comms who declared loud and proud that they contained "adult content". My ISP saw that and went ooooh and put it behind the bar-thingie. So I had the bar-thingie disabled, and all is working now. Hurrah! *g*
