Well, that severely buggers up my Challenge story.
But worse - how unbelievable is it that the laws on being gay in the UK don't actually seem to have changed since 1967? In 1967 it was technically decriminalised, but with a raft of restrictions that don't apply to hets. I mean, I know I marched against Section 28 way back when, and it didn't do much good, and I remember the story about the guys in Bolton not all that long ago, but I didn't realise the sitch was still that bad. I guess living in Manchester, with Canal St and all, and stuff like Queer as Folk on the tv kind of blinded me. And I expect a lot of people...
I really wish I've picked up the wrong end of the stick, based on the websites I've looked at. Have a bad feeling that I haven't.
Ye gods - people!
