Google Buzz - gargh! How many different "social networks" are we supposed to be able to cope with?!

But on the bright side - in case there's other people as slow as I am to pick up on things - I tried using Google Calendar to remind me about something via my email, and it's just worked beautifully! And since I have googlemail open all the time, it might even turn out to be more useful than my mobile for that sort of thing - hmmn!

Recced for me by [livejournal.com profile] enednoviel - and thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

It's a lovely sort of global book - an Australian book conservator working on a Jewish manuscript in Sarajevo, visiting museums and people in cities and countries all over the world to track down the forensic clues that turn up in the Sarajevo haggadah - a Jewish religious book which gives the order of the Passover Seder, and has been rescued from destruction time and time again through its five hundred year history. It was also a history that ventured into areas I've not particularly peered at before which was great - new worlds, both wondrous and terrible!

Hold Your Breath, Sunshine

A ship is safe in the harbour - but that's not what ships are for.

Could've.
Should've.
Would've.
Didn't. Didn't. Didn't.
