...because it might be that the image problem is confined to comms, or to a particular comm... But I shall post a Pros-y pic so it's not too upsetting if it goes wrong... or right... *g* So, let's see what happens...

There - does that look right, or is it throwing your lj off completely...?

I put in an Lj Support request last night, asking about the change to image sizes, and when I woke up this morning, there was a reply...

"The new image sizes when images are inserted using the Insert Image function of the Rich Text Editor is an intentional new change that was recently released. If you would prefer to have your images display at the size that they used to, you can make the following edit to your image URLs:

http://pics.livejournal.com/USERNAME/pic/IMAGENAME/s640x480
to
http://pics.livejournal.com/USERNAME/pic/IMAGENAME/s320x240

At this time, there is no way to manually select this sizing preference when you insert your images, and I apologize for that inconvenience. If you would like to suggest that LiveJournal offer a way to do this, you can submit this idea to the Suggestions community [http://community.livejournal.com/suggestions/] using the method described at [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=164]."

So just after I've paid for extra storage at lj so that I can post pictures without faffing around, they've changed the system so that in order to post pictures side by side I'm going to have to sodding faff around! I'm annoyed! And there was no announcement/warning, so that when someone quite reasonably posted pics side by side yesterday, as normal, it threw my whole lj off and I had to go scrolling horizontally all day - yuck.

I liked the smaller sized pictures, it was exactly why I chose to buy lj extra storage rather than use Flickr or Photobucket - I could post a set of pics side by side, without a cut, nice and easily. They could be seen clearly and if people wanted to see them more clearly, then we could double-click. It was simple, it was efficient... And now there's going to have to be faffing, or else I don't post as many pics. I tell you, I'm going back to pen and paper and darkroom chemicals if they insist on making technology more of a faff rather than less...

5th December

Another day, another dollar, Doyle thought, watching his blood run in a thin red stream, rain-diluted, across the double yellow lines. If Belleville would shift himself then he'd have a clear line of sight to the man holding a gun on Jax, could take him out...

There was the rustle of bullet-proof vest on tarmac, and Bodie was beside him, low to the ground, tutting and tying something around his arm. "If Belleville would bloody move..." he said, and Doyle's world warmed a little.

"Yeah..." he agreed grimly, and he kept his eye at the sight, Bodie watching beside him.

And Under the Fifth of December... )
