byslantedlight: (BD When Love (enednoviel))
Hello... this is by way of a guilty wee post, not because I'm back at work, and posting from there, but because I've been off work for three weeks, and I didn't post once... which is weird, and surely wrong, and I don't quite know why...

Anyway, the operation-thing was just fine, and I expect they'll tell me that any residual oddness is the natural oddness of healing when I go for my check up with them. My GP reckons it's all good, so cross fingers! *g* I looked a bit stitched across my neck for a while, but now I just look a bit previously-sliced... *g* I did get an extra week off day-job work from it though, which was unexpected (three weeks altogether, though I also had an extra night in hospital - 2 overnights, rather than the none I'd hoped for...), and not to be sneezed at, despite the fact that I seem to have achieved very little in all that time. I dunno - I know it was technically recuperation, but surely I could have sat at my computer doing useful recuperative-y things, such as writing, or PhD-ing, or posting, or even palelyloitering - but... no...

And being me I'm wondering how this fits in with my flist being much quieter these days too... am I posting less because my flist doesn't seem to be around as much (therefore enhancing a vicious-circle of non-posting), or are the days of blogging on the wane in general, or... What d'you reckon? Does your flist seem to be quieter too, and do you wonder where everyone is? Do you want to be reading your flist and there's no one there, or are you bored with flists and blogs anyway...? Maybe it's just a wee twist of my own flist though, and everyone else is reading and writing as normal?

In any case - I'm going to try to do better! You may have been sighing with the relief of me having shut up, but I'm going to experiment with ending the silence! And I have hopefully easy and vaguely more interesting things to post about over the next ten days, because (with lousy timing, since I've just come back from being away) as of 3pm this afternoon - I'm going on holiday! Yeay! *g*

I'm all packed, my car boot is full, and I am going to zap out of here and head west! First stop - my favourite Stonehenge, on the way to stopping overnight in my favourite Glastonbury, from where I will start heading south as well as west until I end up in my favourite Cornwall... *g* And from Saturday there's going to be a whole Pros-y week away! It was only going to be a weekend, originally, but then it turned out that a cottage cost just the same for a week as it did for the weekend, and so we kind of... leaked a little bit sideways to get our money's worth, and now - there's a whole Pros-y week away!

I'm sure there's still been stuff going on that I could tell you about - I actually kept taking pictures and things and thought ooh, I could post about that... and then just never did. But I won't - I shall turn over a fresh leaf, a new page, a May-ish Spring-like leaf, and start posting from Stonehenge... *g*

So... how're you? *g*
