byslantedlight: (BD bed temptation (norfolkdumpling))
It's wet and grey and proper damp weather here this morning, and I found myself thinking about our lads in the morning... as you do... *g*
01 OldDogNewTricks - BodieWakingUp01
Fanon would often have it that Bodie and Doyle wake up instantly alert at the slightest sound or change of atmosphere in a room, that they sleep lightly and with danger ever foremost in their minds... I've got to admit that I'm not convinced about this, from what we see in the eps... *g*

We don't often see them being woken up in bed, granted, but when they are they seem to be fairly normal about it - a bit slow, a bit dopey, a bit grumpy even when they're first coming to... *g* In You'll be Alright Doyle fumbled for the phone, sniffs into it, and then croaks out his name. In Old Dog With New Tricks Bodie stays in bed whilst his girlfriend answers the door (though the doorbell was labelled Bodie, I seem to remember *g*) and looks unimpressed when Doyle throws something at him to wake him up... There's that other Doyle-waking-Bodie too, when he dangles the latch key over the girl in Bodie's bed - can't remember which ep that is, or what Bodie looks like as he's getting up, but I'm sure I remember muttered imprecations (...it's obscene...) and general slow-moving... Come to that, he's rather stumble-y when we see him up and about in that bathrobe in The Gun...

I can't remember whether we see Doyle waking up in other eps - we see him sleepless in one or two, but...

But anyway - apart from the fact that I rather like the idea of sleep-tousled, slightly-dopey lads first thing, I can't think of anything that makes me think they wake up as superheroes rather than as 20-something lads, and what I was wondering was...

...how do you imagine them waking up? *vbg*

Hold Your Breath, Sunshine

A ship is safe in the harbour - but that's not what ships are for.

Should've.
Would've.
Didn't. Didn't. Didn't.
