byslantedlight: (BD Gangplank (empty_mirrors))
There seems to have been a wee hitch to my plan to write every day - already... partly I'm caught up in shall-I-apply-for-this-thing-which-takes-lots-of-time-to-think-about, and partly (no excuse) I've just been tired this week (which is no excuse...)

But I've got to say, brilliant as you all were for responding (thank you!) that was not helpful at all! Honestly, I sat and watched as the three proposed WIPs kept levelling out, and just as I'd decided that one was decisively winning, since I'd not sat down to actually write anything yet, as soon as I looked at the poll again the results had changed! Even now (I started writing this yesterday) we're sitting on 7-7-8, which is ve-ery close indeed!

And that winner, of just a single vote more than the others, is... man the lifeboats! - The Historical Lads-at-Sea AU Pros story... Which of course is the hardest to write, and in view of all the to-ing and fro-ing I did wonder if I should cheat, but - since I didn't post this after all yesterday, someone has very helpfully come along and voted for the Lads-at-Sea too (although she did also say she'd love to see the WWII AU *headdesk* - you see what I mean?! *vbg*) so... I shall stop dithering, and commit myself to writing the Historical Lads-at-Sea AU Pros story!

Of course the next issue is that I'm going to London for the weekend - wheeeee! Not for Pros-y things, although it's with [livejournal.com profile] murphybabe, but because we've been talking about just going to London to play with our cameras for a while now... and now we're going to! *vbg* But it also means that I won't be on email/lj much (though yeay for whizzy-phones!) and I might not write much... though I might find other info/inspiration for the story. Yeay! *g*

Also - boss says I can leave work a little early, so I'm going to skive off any minute now, I think... see, that's a good part of this job... *g*

And regular writing of the Lads-at-Sea story when I get back, definitely!

Should've.
Would've.
