Friday in the Virtual Office
Friday, 27 February 2015 11:12 amYeay - Friday! I'm up, I'm dressed, I'm loving the blue skies, and I'm full of bouncy beans today. What a bugger I have to sit at my desk and work before anything else... (okay, after checking lj and all *g*)
Today, I actually have a day's work on my plate, compared to the last couple of day's which have been more than a day's work each time. So let's see... 72 pages - let's try for 10 pages a time again, and hope they're quick ones. I wish it didn't start off Liver lesions are..., but hey-ho, could be worse! And I have left Doyle in a skip, all cold and broken (I tried to get him out last night after deadline, but it all went wrong and wasn't looking good for him...). I need to practice my fiddle like a good girl. And I need to get outside! Use my legs! Oh, please stay blue-skyed! Right...
And now perhaps I should stop fiddling around with lj posts and working out a table for it, and just get on... *g* Okay, I'd better see how long 10 pages takes, then I can work out whether this will fit... see, I'm totally Rimmer from Red Dwarf - spend so much time prettying up my revision schedule that I don't leave any time to actually follow it... *headdesk*
Hope your office is all bright and cheerful today too - it's Friday! There should be cake for elevenses, and wine at five o'clock! *g*

Task | Done it? |
01-5 Prosfic writing 5-10 Fiddle practice- 5 mins |
I'm a bad girl. 1-5 all good but dense and time-consuming, so quick check of lj, and a comment on Doyle in the skip, and a moment for thoughts, which suddenly slide in the right direction, and... I took my writing break early. Now I know how it's going to go, and I've got it there, and... yes. *g* Just need to insert one more moment, and then it's all about being exactly 1000 words... But I really should have done that other 5 pages first. |
Well all of that took me until nearly 1pm. Ack! Still, the first dozen pages or so are usually the densest...
11-20 | (1.06pm-1.25pm = 5 pages. Still dense...) -1.43pm = 10 pages. Might just have to forge on... |
21-30 | 2pm-2.30pm. My feet are freezing, I'm making a hot-water bottle. Where's my blue sky gone?! Ooh - nearly halfway... |
Fiddle practice 10 mins | Yes - nearly 10 minutes. My finger was numb with cold so I had to stop... |
31-40 | 2.42pm- 3.02pm - Oh, that was a good set of pages! 10 in 20 minutes! |
Just lj-ing... | |
41-50 | 3.15pm - 3.33pm - oh, another good set! Cross-eyeing though, it was all percentages... |
I seem to have given up my writing breaks, but that's cos I'm going to need to concentrate on the next part of the story, so if I can finish work earlier, then I can do it all at once. Well, that's the plan... Can I finish by 5pm?!
51-60 | 3.43pm - 4.10. Blimey, at this rate I will be finished at 5pm! You know, when it's dark outside, and there's no one around... *headdesk* Never satisfied! Okay - quick outside and quick throw of the stick/ball for Otto. Sun! |
61-70 | 4.34pm |
70-72 | Doooooooooooooooooooooooone! (5.10pm) |
*headdesk*
