...and I do like a hotel room where the chairs are embellished with golden swans... *g*
Gosh, hello lj - it's nice to see you, and all of your posts that I must catch up on... it's been a
week already, and it's only Tuesday, isn't it... okay, Tuesday night at least. I am ensconced in London for a couple of days, and it's gloriously summer-y - it even
smells green and summery! Managed to catch up with
heliophile_oxon when I got in, all too briefly, but a fab way to start a couple of London days! The rest will be work-work, even tomorrow night which will be dinner with colleagues (also nice on a completely different level - dinners don't come into it with Job 1, and there are only vaguely colleagues involved!

On the other hand, Job 1 does lend itself to this, which I'm sure's been around forever, but I just saw today... (From
this blog, although I don't think the graphic belonged to them). I am quite looking forward to not keeping clam and proofreading for the next half dozen weeks though - I'm even wondering -
hmmmn... if I might get a chance to write... stranger things have happened... I actually thought of a wee fic this morning, when I was trying not to get up after less than five hours sleep - see, drowsing can be
productive... *g* I almost wrote it on the train, but my brain was tired. It's starting to recover though, so maybe on the way home...

Oh, and
joy - there's a new KJ Charles book out, I
did get hold of it as my 4-days-of-crazy-working-ends-on-the-train treat, and it's
good so far. I mean, I hoped it would be, but
The Magpie series is a lot to match up to... but it's good. I'm enjoying it. It's on sale at
Samhain (I'll buy the paperback when it comes out too, so I have no guilt about finding the cheapest price now since they've not released both at the same time... And now I'm off to bed with it - I may even turn out my light and sleep before midnight tonight - such bliss! It was after 3am last night, around 2.30 the two nights before that... Sweet dreams, everyone - hope they've been good, recently...
(ETA - erk, that looks awful on full-screen - I thought I'd been so clever with my pic-arranging! It's fine in my flist, with its narrow central column... squish up your window for a moment if it looks odd, it'll pop out into its right places... That'll teach me to try and be clever!)
