This day is just not ending! It's been full of faffing with work, and not actually accomplishing much (and a fiddly document when I did have one), and back-and-forth with this doc and that doc, and then Job 2 popped up, of all things, needing information for next year, and... and... and...! And I'm not entirely sure that a flurry of articles for people to read was the right way to go as extra content over at Discovered in a Christmas Card, judging by the huge hush over there (but perhaps it's just been one of those days for lots of people). Oh, and I was going to see a film with book group on Thursday, which I was quite looking forward to, and it was cancelled. Gargh!

And I didn't set foot out of the house today, but that's kind of good, cos it means we can have some more Christmas sparkle. And check this out!

The prettiest little advent calendar I've seen for years - and then it turned out that you were supposed to put a candle inside it (in a glass, of course!), and isn't it magic? So much nicer than chocolates every day (well, we can have chocolate any time of year! *g*)

The other bit of bright side is that I did get quite a bit more of a Pros story written, and then typed up - but I need to get a hurry on. I keep saying I'll definitely finish it tomorrow.

But I will definitely finish it tomorrow...!

Not a bad day today actually. My day's work was three-quarters of a day's work, so I got it done before writing group, and then there were only two of us at writing group, along with the tutor, which was actually quite nice. I thought she'd send us home, but in fact it was a good session, the three of us just talking about writing. I even confessed to writing fanfic, and eventually that my ongoing project was m/m romance (partly out of devilment, to see what they'd say, since it wasn't the whole group *g*) and ended up explaining what fanfiction was. It surprises me, these days, when people don't know (though not as much as it surprised me to find out they didn't know what a galah was)! I didn't tell 'em it was Pros, though. *g* Anyway, they were fine, and interested.

It was the last one of the year, though. I did think I was going to give it up, cos it wasn't really making me write more, but in fact when I went last week tutor said she'd been feeling stale about it, and a few of us chimed in with ideas, and its sounding much more interesting now - and partly because I suggested we work towards a group project of some kind, not expecting anyone to go for it, and everyone liked the idea! And it sounds like our inspiration will be a trip upstairs to the town museum, which I've not visited yet (cos it's always been closed when I wanted to). So yeay, goals and motivation - always important!

Now, if I can just finish my FandomCards thingie tonight, all will be well! *g*
