It's all work and are-there-any-houses-available-in-the-village and so on. But I'm hopeful that today's work will be straightforward, and it's an early deadline, and the weekend is set for rain, so cross fingers. In the meantime - some inspiration...
I've got these two pics in a file on their own, because I had in mind a sort of clothes post/project - I do like it when tv shows give their characters a relatively realistic wardrobe, instead of an apparently infinite selection of clothes. *g* Here's Doyle's black leather jacket survived all the way from Season 1 to the middle of Season 2. I'm sure it went on longer than that - can anyone think of a later ep where we see it too?
I've just glanced through Professional Insight to see if there's any more info on how often Doyle wears the jacket, but it doesn't summarise that one. It does say Doyle wore the red, grey, black and white large check jacket in 16 episodes...(Covers series 1 through 5), and also that Out of a possible 57 episodes, Bodie wore polo-necked sweaters in 33. *g*
Apparently Out of 57 episodes, in only 6 did Bodie and Doyle manage to stay in the same clothes from start to finish. In fairness, I think most eps take place over more than one day - on the other hand, The greatest number of changes of clothes occurred for Doyle in The Untouchables (14)... for Bodie it was The Untouchables (9) and Involvement (9).
I do love Professional Insight from the sadly-missed Gryphon Press/Pear-Tree Press. The frontispiece lists 18 "Watchers" and "advisers", three proofreaders, a special thanks and illustrator - a real team effort. It originally cost £9, of which £2.80 was donated the Terrence Higgens Trust, which is a UK-based HIV and sexual health clinic.
Ages and ages and ages ago I thought it might be cool to do an updated online version of Professional Insight, which turned into this page over at CI5hq. Someone I was talking to not too long ago said something similar too - and I still reckon it would be fun to do that kind of group watch, looking out for particular things, like their clothes. Professional Insight also has things like a list of the food and drink they eat, who they're dating when, and so on. It'd require some dedication, though... *g* If anyone fancies it, do say - maybe if there were enough of us, dividing projects up by ep...? *g*
