Need to know

So, following a brief discussion on another LJ about something completely different, I ended up desperately wanting to know which episode it is that has what looks like a table full of art brushes and stuff at Doyle's flat. Not Female Factor and not Hunter Hunted (which I could have sworn it was), cos I checked them last night. If anyone has any ideas it would save hours of desperate fast-forwarding...
And on a vaguely-related one-time-canon-into-fanon note, I can't believe that no one has written a fic around what appears to be a real trombone on the table in Doyle's flat at the start of Female Factor. Or more perhaps more realistically, if they have then I'm somewhat relieved that I haven't come across it yet.. unless there are other uses found for said trombone than the common one : )

See, this is just the sort of madness that should not be encouraged by single instances of canon! : )

Lol - and I can just picture his face too!

And ... I just *love* the shot of D in your LJ banner. That is truly lovely.
(Also, I know I still owe you zine recs ... I got coshed in the head by one of my horses - Bodie, in fact!! - yesterday, and it put me off my feed, so to speak. But I've been thinking about it and will get back to you ASAP)

I am *sure* its a right memory, cos I actually thought at the time - oh, canon stuff that Doyle does still paint... What I remember is a sort of high-ish table-thing, against a wall, with jars of brushes and perhaps pencils - that sort of thing. Just in the background. Trouble is, my head has it in the Hunter Hunted flat, where the kitchen is - but its not there! So I'm thinking it may have been an ep I watched after that one, if I could just remember what that might have been! Hmmn, maybe it was under a window instead actually... But

Isn't it?

Oh no - poor you! Bodie by name, Bodie by..?! Do take it easy, I shall look forward to recs whenever they come!
I didn't comment, cos I wasn't sure if its okay to comment on the homey things that people put up on LJ when you don't really *know* the people on your flist, but I was so happy for you being able to say "Now be fair - no one's as bad as Bodie" the other day! You were my hero-in-fandom for ages after I read that!

Hopefully! I've been doing a lot of work on remastering, and the vid on which

Absolutely! Comment away! A few people commented on that post, but not one mentioned the "No one's as bad as Bodie" line, and I really wanted *someone* to find it amusing! Glad to have been your hero-in-fandom for a bit ... *g*
Unfortunately, Bodie - my Bodie, I mean (pictures here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/justacat/38397.html), here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/justacat/33645.html), and here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/justacat/36645.html), in case you're interested - proud mom! *g*) - has a very hard head. He caught me with it when he swung it around - I'm sure he didn't even feel a thing.... I did, though!
(I don't think you were reading my LJ when I got him ... he's called Bodie because his real name was Regall - "I was such regal-looking baby" - of course I had to give him Bodie as his barn name! And it fits! I just love having a horse named Bodie ... no one here knows who Bodie is, of course, so it gives me a little secret fannish thrill whenever I say his name ... a mildly subversive way of bringing fandom into other parts of life.
Plus he's gorgeous! *g*)

Date: Friday, 4 November 2005 01:50 am (UTC)Oh lovely - yes, I was interested! Used to ride a bit when I was growing up in Australia, although only in the way you do when your friends have horses and you don't. I quite fancied it again when I was in the UK just now, but it didn't happen for various reasons. I'm ever hopeful it may yet! We'll see. Loved the saga of Oz and Griggs and Bodie too - although I kept relating Bodie to Murphy and... well, you can guess the other two perhaps?! Hope they're all now still good mates.

Genius, pure genius.

lol - I think that's exactly how I'd feel about it. Maybe I should get a dog or two..!
Off home to research soon - will let you know if I come up with anything!
