The reason I wondered if Doyle rode a race before is this:
SALLY: What's the matter? You rode brilliantly.
DOYLE: Yeah, that little lot rode to block me out. It's very dangerous.
If he'd rode before, he'd know it was dangerous. Almost any sort of race, somebody will try to knock you out of the running. He says it's dangerous as if he didn't realise it. And why is that more dangerous than running down an alley with bad guys shooting at you or defusing a bomb?
Maybe Doyle likes his down time not to be dangerous. But motocross is inherently dangerous anyway. I don't know. Doyle just seemed almost -- surprised? irritated? at racing. I can't explain what seems off with Doyle, so I'm going to say it's he's irritated at being used since there's no other reason that I can figure.
But if he agreed to the race, why is he irritated? I'm talking myself in circles. I need food...
