One of the worst things about this ep is the soppy music in that awful scene at the hospital showing Poor Little Rich Kid with his rockstar dad... makes me cringe.
And I don't really understand how the 'mules' bringing the drugs in linked to Wicksy throwing the gun away - surely it's too much of a coincidence that the boys who find the gun go to the very school where parents are being forced to smuggle drugs in for Wicksy's boss? It's all very odd.
I also boggle a bit at Doyle - ex-Drugs Squad - not knowing about addicts birthing addicted babies, although his... erm... pragmatic (to say the least) attitude to getting the Buchanan girl to talk strikes me as very drugs Squad-y, somehow. All very weary, practical, seen-it-done-it sort of thing.
But there are some nice scenes with the lads, who are beautifully together until Bodie has to go with Inger and gets all grumpy about it, and Bodie in a dressing gown is always worth seeing! So on that front alone it beats Close Quarters. And Inger is a much better girlfriend for Bodie than Gabrielle Drake!
That opening scene... they have so spent the night together! Out on the tiles, I reckon, and went home together in Bodie's car! *bg*
