You've got some great images here and some interesting observations. I must admit it's never been an episode I liked very much partly because of the dire acting from the two boys, especially the one who's in it a lot so you can't really ignore him, and I never took to Inger much either, I'm afraid, something about her cried out 'bossy' to me, even though I can't think of an example, or maybe it's just the way she seemed to treat Bodie as if he was a bit of an idiot (*please* resist the temptation to respond to that last bit....) Something else which made me think - the bit where Doyle tries to fob a different baby onto the girl (and your bit about the heroin addiction was good) I think if Bodie had made that suggestion there would be loads of fingers accusing him of being completely without morals but Doyle seems to have gotten away with it.
