Date: Sunday, 23 August 2009 09:43 pm (UTC)Apparently they're called Powerbocks, and people wearing them are Powerbockers (or various other names) - cos they were invented in Germany by a guy called Bock... He didn't call them that, but generally they're referred to as Bocks out of respect - or so the websites say! *g* It seemed to be a meet-up of Bockers, cos they were wearing various t-shirts - EA Bockers, Banned Bockers, others too - and I think there was even an NYC Bockers t-shirt there! *g* It looks like total fun, and I'd love to try it (bone-breaking aside, obviously... *g*) They made it look really easy and elegant, but I'm sure it's not to begin with!
