Oh, I adore the smell of rain on hot roads - we don't get it nearly as often over here as I did growning up in Australia!

Lyricism... there do seem to be people who prefer explanation in a story rather than the feel of it, which is sort of fascinating in itself, but oh, to read a story that sings... to write one... *g*
