There was something he should have done that hadn't been done, and Doyle tossed and turned in bed, worried over it. It wasn't a big thing, was something small - so small that Cavendish would probably never notice, Darby wouldn't blink.

But he knew.

He just didn't know what it was. He knew his cover backwards, knew Duncan from miserable childhood to villainous twenty-ninth birthday. He knew the place, the time, the plan. Everything was ready.

He turned over again.

He wondered what Bodie had been doing today, what had been behind Door Seven. He wondered if Bodie had laughed.

I hope a future drabble will tell us what Doyle forgot to do (buy Bodie's Christmas present before he went undercover?)

I don't think I'd have guessed Ruth. She looks a lot nicer there than in the 'glamour model' type pic of her in Bob's book.

Hee - this clearly wasn't a very good one. He'd not been able to look at the advent calendar with Bodie - that's what was missing... awww...
