I know it's not Murphy's fault that he's not very... interesting, but he just isn't - there's no character to him compared to so many of the other agents... People have said that's perhaps why he's used in so many fics, partly cos you can pretty much put any character on him, but I guess... I guess I suspect that he's often something of a Mary-Sue type character - he always seems to be their bestest friend, and so handsome and clever and understanding, and... but there's just no canon for any of that, so I can't see it at all... Benny you could have being sarky and put upon, Stuart is a tough smart-arse who's good at judging character, even Turner with his nuts shows more gumption than Murphy ever seems to have! As you say, he's got lines in Ojuka, but... they don't seem to show me much of his character even then...
