I really enjoyed this book, to the point of getting a hardcover version to keep. It's sad, seeing Maurice struggle through societal expectations both around sexuality and around class, and by the end of the book I was cheering him on. The film is good, too; a little bonus if you like Rupert Graves. I do like E.M.Forster as a writer, but that could well be because I like the period he writes about. I've just recently found a book of his short stories in a second hand bookshop. Haven't started reading yet but it sounds interesting.
