Interesting! I've never had any problems with my navigation bar before, it's always been just as it was when I first joined lj - nearly 9 years ago now (wow!).

I have foiled the glitch by hitting "reply at website" from my email notification, which clearly works just fine, but I also opened a tab for "view thread for this post", and there's still no reply button that way. Well at least now I know I can dive into my recycling bin and reply via my email notifications - thanks for commenting so that I could find that out!

Lj has glitches now and then, and they usually right themselves - I just hope this one does too. I've always felt that my lovely Xcolibur was probably on borrow time as a workable layout... *sighs sadly*
