I don't know! None of them said really, they just said they'd tried to read it and just couldn't keep going, they found it tedious. One person said she didn't like the characters, but didn't really say why - just that she couldn't feel sympathy for any of them. And one person said she didn't like coming across the made up words (but she didn't mean Adah's backwards-words), and I have no idea what she meant by those - again I tried to ask and she said she couldn't think of examples off-hand... So I'm kind of in the dark about why, to be honest... which is such a shame, cos I thought that's what book groups were supposed to talk about!
