Re: How're you...?

I'd heard about it, but I'd never actually seen that ad - what a hoot!

All Fords are a little iffy on corners - I had two Fiestas - I made a friend of understeer :0)

I currently drive a Nissan too - but it's a bubble shaped Micra (hence 'roller skate') - and I defy even Bodie to jump that bonnet :0) After ten years it's got over 90,000 on the clock, mostly clocked up on motorways. I used to commute 500 miles a week, but I work closer to home now and take the bus.

I'm a lover of small cars which double as minivans - although I'll drive anything that's thrown at me. I used to drive a lot of hire cars for work and never knew what I was getting until I got out of the front door in the morning.

I'm thinking about a new car, but £45,000 plus on an old Ford, no matter how wonderful, is not a viable option. Neither, sadly, is a new Micra since they've gone all peculiar. I can't afford a new car at the minute - I live in hope that by the time I can, Nissan will have come to their senses.

The Fiesta is now the size the old Focus used to be, and too big for my tastes.

I can only assume, by condition and mileage, that at some point the Capri was mothballed for preservation. Which in one sense is wonderful, but in another is sad. Capris were made to be driven.

And I'd still really love a go...
