I like it. I upgraded a while ago, and although I had a problem, it was a blip that happens to a few people at random, it appears. It was an issue with the user profile not copying over correctly and there is nothing to be done about it. It happens sometimes. It's nothing to do with how much or whether you back your files up - it's internal memory and files to do with the upgrade, not what you've done, so most people are lucky and don't suffer from it, and I did.
I loathed Windows 8 with a passion and uninstalled it. It assumed that everyone had a touchscreen, which I didn't. 8.1, or whatever it was, was better. Windows 10 is far better than that. I like that I have my start button back again - hooray! I ignore Cortana and Edge. I have an iPhone and use Siri, but I would never use Cortana on my laptop because i don't talk to my laptop. I looked into Edge when I upgraded but it didn't do the two things I wanted it to do (can't remember what) so I have ignored it ever since. For all I know, it might be okay now.
I hate the default photo package with 10 so I don't use that, I use Windows Live Photo Gallery, but that's just because I'm used to it.
I haven't found 10 to take up more memory or to be any slower.
I think I was just so prejudiced against 8 that I was never going to take to it. 10 is very like 7 so I am happy again :)
