I usually use this icon when I'm having a bad day, as the caption says, because - and isn't this awful - it's at least cheering to see how absolutely beautiful Doyle is when he's suffering...

The icon is by Snarkyllama (who is [livejournal.com profile] llamabitchyo now), and it's one of my favourites.

I mean, what is this awful thing in us that likes to see the lads suffer? Because we do... and I know its because actually we like to see them looked after afterwards, and they can't get to being looked after without suffering first - the whole hurt/comfort thing - but... But Doyle does look beautiful when he's suffering, doesn't he... *is awful person but I know I'm not alone in that...*

Which makes me try to think of my favourite hurt/comfort fic to... I've been reading Pros again recently, and almost frozen about what to read next because there's so much I want to read. I keep saying I'll do a post, and I must, cos it's been my current "books". *g* But... hurt/comfort... I've just read Sebastian's Flu, which I adore - both of them sick together, very much hurting and comforting, and so bittersweet... And in a similar but very differet vein (I won't say why for spoilering, in case anyone's not read it yet - but I recommend it!) I adore HG's Knife Edge, and Pamela Rose's Fevers - although now I've veered from hurt/comfort to sickness/comfort, haven't I... *g*

So go on - do you have a favourite Pros hurt/comfort story to rec? *vbg*
