Okay, this has obviously got very silly indeed, and if I'm not careful I'm actually going to miss the end of my 100 days! Sorry... and sorry to be awol for so long that someone messaged to make sure I was okay. I didn't mean to worry you! Although, ironically, it kind of made me a bit happy that someone noticed and thought about me, so thank you too! *g* I've started posting three or four times in the last week, and just got stuck every time cos everything else has been a bit mad...
Thursday 16th April 2020
Thursday was sunny, and it was happy-making to wander around the garden and seeing everything growing. Plus I found a corner with a view that I hadn't known was there! It's that kind of overgrown, where you can discover entire chicken sheds with views across neighbour's yards to other aspects of the hills!

It has actually been so dry for a while, that it was happy-making to find that it had rained on Thursday night, and for it to rain on Friday too. Plus there are bluebells out, and absolutely gorgeous blossoming trees...

Saturday 18th April 2020
Sorting out some bits I found metal detecting in the garden, and this turned out not to be a piece of petrified electric flex, which was my first thought - I cleaned it up, and it's the stem from a clay pipe! No way of telling age, I don't think, but they were pretty much done with by the 1930s, so probably older than that. *g*

Sunday 19th April 2020
Happiness of a weekend in general, but I also decided it was finally time to start sorting through the pile of fic stacked on my shelves. A friend I shop for coincidentally asked if I wanted some lever arch files she was getting rid of - just the thing... And it was the kind of weekend where you could sit out in the garden with a gin and tonic in the sunshine, happily moving Pros fic stories around... *g*

It also made me very happy when our friendly blackbird flew in to say hello to me, right by the bench I was sitting on. He hopped away behind my pots as I reached for my phone camera, and then just hung out for a bit. *g* And then the robin came to say hi too, in the bush on the other side. So cool. *g*
Monday 20th April 2020
Seeing a Lyriad! I actually went out to see if I could spot the SpaceLink satellites (although I'm not crazy about the idea of them - there's going to be no calm night sky left with so many of them up there, it's going to be constantly moving, by the sound of chappie's plans). I probably did see them, but spaced far apart rather than interestingly together in a row as advertised. What made me really happy, though, was seeing a golden shooting star - a Lyriad!
Another nice day made me happy earlier. I even tried to work outside, but you can see the problem with that!

Tuesday 21st April 2020
A slightly crazy day, because not only did I have work to do, but we were doing a special delivery of foodsaving for every household on the list - about 25 - and although it was all down to one of our fab volunteers, who'd decided she wanted to convince various of her suppliers to donate some food for an extra treat for people stuck at home all this time, it was still took a huge amount of coordination to organise too! To the point that at one point I just had to run away from my laptop and go out for my exercise, which I've mostly been doing in the garden recently. But just breathing deeply in the countryside is a happy thing...
Oh, but look at my garden too - there are things growing in it! Not as many as there should be, but hopefully that will be gradually rectified... *g*

And then the foodsaving! Ironically there wasn't any food to be saved from our normal shop, but D had organised three bags of food for everyone - and bless her she decided that I had to have one too, cos she had spares, which was ever so sweet and kind and happy-making. So we went and did the deliveries, which of course took ages and I ended up looking for house numbers in the dark, which took even longer, but - the messages on the delivery group WhatsApp afterwards! People were just so, so happy, and one person wrote she burst into tears of happiness when she saw the bags, and another was thrilled cos D had found some vegan meals to go in their family's, and... just all so very worth doing to make people that happy. So that was an amazingly happy thing.
Wednesday 22nd April 2020
Phone calls and texts and all the messages I received from other people who'd had food deliveries, mostly our older peeps who aren't online, saying how much they'd appreciated the special delivery the night before, and felt so much part of the village instead of feeling cut off. Just... very happy to know that it brightened people like that.
And it was still warm enough to read fic outside in the garden! Time to re-read Harlequin Airs, which is a happy-fic.

No photos today, huh... and I'm desperately trying to think of something that made me happy, too! Another nice day, that made me happy! And chatting online made me happy. Oh, and of course the Key Workers Clap is another happy thing! *g*
Friday 24th April 2020
And here I finally am, today. Okay, technically yesterday cos yet again it's the early hours of the morning, but still. *g* This dandelion patch made me very happy when I saw it!

And so did this perfect rose, and this fab evening sky. Plus I had a night off food-saving, cos another of the volunteers felt up to doing it herself, so yeay.
Two more potentially happy-making things, although only in comparison with their non-existence (if that makes sense): 1) I have splashed out on a mini dehumidifier, because I swear I can smell damp in the bedroom again, and I'm a bit worried now that I'm going to end up here through next winter as well, which I was determined not to have to do... But hopefully the dehumidifier will make me less worried about my books and all if I do have to stay... It won't get here for a couple of weeks, but cross fingers then! 2) In a rather amazing bit of news, which I'm still not sure I believe, one of the exam boards I usually work for at the start of the summer has said they're going to furlough us! Which would be a huge relief, because proofreading is just so intense to do all year without a break, and as crazy-making as it is in a different way, I look forward to marking each year. Of course this is the smaller of the exam jobs that I do, and we've not heard about the major one yet, but surely they can't say no if the other exam boards are saying yes...? So I'm crossing fingers, because it would really really help...!
How're you doing out there? I hope work is behaving well for you, and you're staying safe and managing to find some happy too...
