This is the one I can never remember... despite there being various bits that're memorable!
And even though it's the one where... see, as soon as I see the bloke getting out of the taxi I remember... and then Cowley - and that street!
Love the lads swinging out of the car down that delicate mews! And all confidence too - that's why they're the top lads, cos they can even arrest their boss if they have to... *g*

Pow! Is it me, or are the trailers getting shorter?!
... except that they're not quite so sure, cos Doyle doesn't know what they're supposed to do next - hee! The lads are back to being the lads together though - see that big smiley face from Bodie as they walk past security together!

Cowley's in tro-ouble...
The lads are waiting for him though, Bodie revving the engine a bit... *g* Hee - Doyle all coy about having broken into Cowley's apartment!
Cowley takes them to his place - interesting paintings he's got! The lads are given a malt each, Doyle apparently looking dubious enough that Cowley reassures him that it's not a bribe - and Bodie reassures Cowley that he thinks he's an honourable man. Love that the lads are turning to each other over and again - all throughout this scene...

Oh, the glee of the bad guys! They're positively giggling at the possibility of getting away with their plot!
Another strong woman as the lawyer - we don't see much of her as a person in fic... Maybe because we don't know her name? We find out later though - Sarah Ryan, who is apparently Irish, not English...
Cowley in a rather shadow-y apartment... and even better, our lads in police uniform! *g* Hee - Bodie'd be surprised at what you could do in a uniform... and Doyle's highly amused by the sight of Bodie in an 'at! And Bodie's all smiley about it too!

"Sit ye down" says Cowley, getting all Scots... "Och, you sound like a wee lassie behind the pub on a Saturday night!" - how many drinks has he had?! *g*
The lads being policemen... hee - I know it's obvious, but "Don't suppose anyone's seen a Chinaman..." - heeeee!
Doyle doing his copper thing - doesn't look quite right with that hair though! Oh, and a fight! Much kicking and elbowing and... not a simple one for the lads, but they get there in the end... looking mighty fine somehow in the meantime...

And Doyle not being racist at all, oh no - "the Chinese are like that"... and Bodie - ewww - "Never 'ad a Chinese bird..." Sometimes I do want to smack both of them... Except for the look between them just for that second when Bodie asks about Doyle knowing the birds "very well" too...

Aww - Bodie's got himself a roommate... I personally don't think Doyle's talking about their prisoner, but... Hmmn - there may have to be examination of his flat later, too!
Ah, and Doyle's the one letting Cowley in - and he's changed his clothes... Doyle's all amused and chirpy this morning too - amused when Bodie says he ran out of "rice" last night (what were they doing?!)

...even giggling when the villain gets the best of the Cow! And then smirking when he gets a chance to tell Cowley gung kai (sp?!)

Lads have been waiting patiently outside... Bodie's got his jacket sleeves undone again...
...they're off back to Bodie's home again... Eep, Bodie's spotted the delivery, looks suspiciously around his flat...
Hee - what if Cowley was to come in when he was doing... *looks at Doyle*...

...well, anything, you know... *vbg* Heeee - and Cowley looks quickly at Doyle too! Doyle very amused again!

And ahhh, the lavender tulip... Doyle teasing, even Cowley enjoying it... *g*

Doyle behind the camera again - it's never Bodie...
And a squeal of wheels, a change of clothes, and the lads are together by the car again... Cowley inside taking over the investigation into himself... Oh, and he's all ready to sacrifice his lads again... their "bad luck" if Cowley falls and they fall with him...
Yeay the lads together! Bodie sounding all Scouse, and playing devil's advocate...

Back in the club... plain clothes this time though... and hee - Doyle being menacing, Bodie being mean... *g*
There's not nearly enough of our lads in this one! Too much Cowley and Drake and Tully and the villains and aaaaargh!
Though there are at least some lovely bits of the lads when we do see them - Doyle's "How do!" to the police - their confidence and competency with the "anti-jam devices", and then together in the car again at last... Aww - Bodie's smile to Doyle when Doyle's sympathetic to the police!

Oh, and the gorgeousness of Doyle standing beside that car - that t-shirt, that bendiness... He's been thinking though - Bodie doesn't like it either, you can see his face, he's just not saying it out loud lke Doyle is...

Hee - some fake coughing from the lads... gorgeous running and planting of explosions - and then they've got Drake... oh no - stun gas! The lads are down! And Cowley - oh, Cowley's looking very pleased with himself...
Awww - lads lying close together...
Cowley to the rescue - oxygen for Bodie, a little stroke for his forehead...

...oxgyen for Doyle, who immediately pushes Cowley away - he gets a stroke too though...

Bodie's still not moving, so he gets some more oxygen and tlc and a hand up to his feet. Doyle's being all independent - if stagger-y! - and getting up himself...
The lads hanging out on a motorway bridge... Doyle manages double-think, but that just amuses Cowley. Bodie is not amused - see his face!
Oh, they're using a Reading/Windsor map...
Sneaking around an old farmhouse - hee Bodie's not impressed with the idea of the minimum of force! Aww, our lads go running off together at last, and save Kate Ryan with a swift kick, a couple of good punches, and a finger to their lips! *g*
Back to play with Cowley... nice bit of team work getting into the room...
Lads helping Drake... aww, bless 'em...

Cowley showing a fine aim with a pistol... the lads a little shock-faced in the background... but it's all done very quickly and practically, and... I dunno though. A very sinister Cowley we're seeing here, I think - prepared to take the law into his own hands even more blatantly than ever...
Back to Cowley's flat - the lads a little worried about what Cowley was prepared to let happen... Cowley says that he would've arranged a nice headstone for the two of them. Just the one... *vbg*
A rather sharp "ruthless old bastard" from Doyle, although he does manage a grin for their boss and a raise of the glass...

Umm... Maybe that's why I never remember this one - it's the lads that I remember and adore of CI5, not the plots and the stories or even Cowley's role in things. And this is very much a Cowley story, in fact... Mmmn. I rather suspect I might be in the same sitch next time I watch Need to Know as well - which one is it?!
