Icon Posting Project - Day 6

This time it's my own fault I've stayed up until 2.30am - but oh well, it's better than 3.30am, right?

Today's icon is making me re-think my assumption that lj has ordered my User Pics chronologically, because I'm pretty sure I had other icons long before I had this one... Oh well, so maybe they're not in order, hey-ho!

My Young Love icon is another of my favourites, and one I use quite a lot. I've even had it as my default icon now and then. It's by imbeiaiel (... okay, I just spent far too long checking her lj again, and actually she did make some of my icons way back in 2005, so maybe lj is right to order them that way!...), and I just adore the colour and the texture of it, and of course it's done from my favourite pic, and... they just are young love, aren't they - no matter how old they get to be... *g*


This pic makes me think of Pros fic too - of my favourite stories, because in my favourite stories they always end up looking like this at some point, completely blissed up (even if it's only in their heads and the rest of the story is on the grim and gritty side *g*). Mmmn, Prosfic... maybe tomorrow! *g*

Icon posting Project - Day 7

It's not 3 in the morning - but it is on its way to midnight, and I'm only halfway through building a table... (and when I say building, I mean flatpacking, obviously... and cursing my brilliant idea to buy one with a drop-leaf!). I've already built a coat-rack thingie for my bedroom (not for coats *g*), bookshelves with two drawers, and a new kitchen cupboard. It's been a busy day! *g* But perhaps I'll feel more organised when I get up tomorrow... In the meantime...


A Bodie icon! Again I love the colours of this one, and the textures and little details of it, somehow so perfectly balanced. How do you do that?! I like Bodie's expression too - it's that wicked-amused look that seems to say yeah, that's life, isn't it sunshine...

Okay. Six more screws to get the second hinge on. I can do that (even if the first six nearly shredded my hand... that is going to be a blister tomorrow. I really need to get better screwdrivers...)
