Icon posting Project - Day 7

It's not 3 in the morning - but it is on its way to midnight, and I'm only halfway through building a table... (and when I say building, I mean flatpacking, obviously... and cursing my brilliant idea to buy one with a drop-leaf!). I've already built a coat-rack thingie for my bedroom (not for coats *g*), bookshelves with two drawers, and a new kitchen cupboard. It's been a busy day! *g* But perhaps I'll feel more organised when I get up tomorrow... In the meantime...


A Bodie icon! Again I love the colours of this one, and the textures and little details of it, somehow so perfectly balanced. How do you do that?! I like Bodie's expression too - it's that wicked-amused look that seems to say yeah, that's life, isn't it sunshine...

Okay. Six more screws to get the second hinge on. I can do that (even if the first six nearly shredded my hand... that is going to be a blister tomorrow. I really need to get better screwdrivers...)

It didn't go well, sadly - I had to take the whole table back because it wasn't what I'd expected at all... and then I spent the money on things that weren't tables, so... *headdesk* (although I now have excellent storage in my kitchen!)

Storage is important. A shelf in my kitchen collapsed and I don't know how to fix it! *sigh* But the first step is to find other places for what was on it.

It's nice, isn't it - I should definitely use it more often! I tend to default to ones of them together, though...

And hah for Ikea - my entire house is built on Ikea... but this time I had to take the table back, cos it was just wrong, wrong, wrong! Oh well!

Enjoying somebody's discomfiture, perhaps! Makes me think he's watching Doyle get one over on a third party, and loving it *g* (mind those fingers/hands, eh. Those annoying things like needing a reasonably decent tool - but only once in a blue-ish moon or so - so you end up getting something that's not quite up to snuff, and then the dilemma, is it worth replacing ... Or is it just me who dithers like that!? I certainly do :-s)

And I totally have that dilemma! All the time! I've spent years with dodgy screwdrivers - finally yesterday I bought one of Ikeas wee drills for next one I need one (but of course I dithered throughout the shop after picking it up. Did I really need it...?!)
