Season of mists...

byslantedlightI'm up and down the various A-roads after work to see my mum at the moment, and I wish they'd put up signs when they're closing them late at night, to divert you for miles and single-lane, truck-clogged miles, but there are some nice things about being on the road alot...
Trails of mist across the road on my way to work in the morning, and a sun that looks as if its rising over some exotic African plane... (remember, it's early, I'm half-asleep still really... *g*)
I do know that they're English fields... *g*
And then the drive home has been dark and starlit, and when I got back and turned out the lights, it was dark enough to see the Milky Way... I actually took my sleepy eyes inside, found my binoculars and went back out again, and ooooh... it's almost frightening how many more stars you can see up there, through a pair of binoculars. Enough to see why the Milky Way looks milky, for a start... Gorgeous, gorgeous nights! (Though what is it doing at 28 degrees Celsius on the 29th of September?!)
Anyway, I just wanted to record the pretty... *g*
