Friday... I need better subject headers... *g* Maybe... Cambs. minus 8 sleeps?

I'm not entirely sure why I'm suddenly so sleepy before midnight, when it's been 1.30-2.00am that I've turned my light out for the last weeks, but oh, I am... Maybe to do with finishing the Eternal Assignment from work at last... But I said I'd post photos, so I'm gonna. Not that they're exciting today, cos it was work-work-work and no-car cos she was off having four shiny new tyres, a wee service, and her flashing airbag light seen to (that was just for attention apparently, as soon as My Lovely Mechanic plugged her into the machine, she backed off, all I have no error code, and the light stopped flashing. She's been flashing it at me since I was in Dorset weeks ago (well actually I covered it over with a post-it tag... *g*) but apparently - nothing wrong at all!)

The View of Hope behind my laptop......and yeay, when work was over there was wine and watching a couple of S7 DW eps, ready for tomorrow. New Doctor Who!!! *g*

And sunset minus eight sleeps......wonder which way my window faces in Somerset... oh no - east, cos S. said my room got the morning light. So sunset will be from the terrace... hmmn, if I wander up the hill over the road, perhaps I'll see it over Glastonbury Tor! Next Saturday. *g*

Landlady has replaced me - girl came around to look last night, and took my room. My Lovely Mechanic is not replacing me - he said I could call if I ever needed to ask anything, even from the other side of the country. He's such a nice guy - a decent, honest, nice guy. I'd like one of those please... *g* (He's married, natch).

I rather think this weekend might really, really be for packing up... oh! And for reading more Lord John Gray, cos I borrowed one of the Diana Gabaldon books from the library the other day, and it's fab! I have vague memories of him in the Outlander books, I must dig them out when I get to my new storage too... so much to re-read!

Oh - one more pic! It's auuuuuuutumn!I noticed just a couple of yellow leaves thinking about showing the other day, but practically overnight last night - Little Tree is putting on her autumn! Lovely, lovely autumn... Plus it's been nice and a-bit-chilly (well, the weather report still says it's in the teens C... but it feels like a chill in the air! I'm wearing a jumper!) lately, and... autumns coming! *vbg*

Autumn!? Already is it coming in UK?! I really envy... It's still very hot and HUMID here in Japan. I'm already sick of them. Hope it'll be over soon!!

Yay for John Gray, have I seduced you, then? *eg* Oh, for some autumn here, please! We are having our hottest days yet this summer, it's the upper 90sF and the heat indices higher than that. *gack* I'm hiding in the shadows as much as possible. You'd think years in Florida would have hardened me to this, but nooo.....

Autumn? How can it be autumn in August? Still definitely winter here, and I think yesterday and today were the coldest days we've had all year - it was freezing when I went out at lunchtime yesterday and I swear it was only about 14 degrees. Must admit I do miss "proper" seasons here - there's no real change to the vegetation, not like in the colder regions.

New Who is being broadcast here at 4.50am tomorrow, which is when the UK will be settling down to watch. I'm waiting until 3pm then going to see it on the big screen at the movies. Anticipation! Although it bothers me that I've seen Peter Capaldi in a few interviews now, saying how pleased he was to be cast as Dr Who *facepalm*. And he's supposed to be a fan.... sigh....

I know - autumn! There's a lovely autumn-promise to the air, and Little Tree is definitely putting on her autumn dress! Hot and humid is my least favourite weather too - I hope it blows away soon for you!

That flashing light was strange - my mechanic hooked it up to the diagnostic unit to find out what was wrong, but no error code came up, and when he unhooked her the light had stopped flashing! I think she just wanted some attention... *g*

Yerch for 90F+! I can't remember which state you're in now (except it's a red one and you're the blue underbelly...) but if it's hotter than Florida, then good luck to you! *g*

I know - it seems fabulously early to be autumnal already! And really there's only hints of it, and Little Tree is really the only one that seems to be making the effort... Maybe it'll mean that we have a gorgeous snowy winter - well, a girl can dream... *g*

I think you must have seen DW on the big screen (how brilliant!) by now - hope you liked it! I shall go with the idea that Capaldi just said the Doctor, and the journalists added the Who... Or that, like me, he's a fan but possibly not the kind of fan that would so seriously know not to say Doctor Who like that in an interview - in it for the love rather than all the nitty-gritty... *g*

ETA - Just read this about the crops and harvest this year - although they say that autumn hasn't come early, we've just had an extra good summer for growing. Doesn't explain why Little Tree is dressing up, though... *g*
