...and here I am sitting at my desk at nine o'clock again... another day, another dollar... *sighs* So. Okay. Inspiration for today. There's quite a bit of fic with Doyle undercover with straight hair and all - Harlequin Airs for one, though he has a beard and is decidedly non-yuppie in that one! Oh, is Spring-Heeled Jack another one..? Not read that for ages, but I seem to remember it's an undercover-Doyle fic... *g*

The AU Doyle pic is, I think, the one that came to my mind when I saw the pic [livejournal.com profile] ali15on put up last night, though there's a bit of me that still thinks I know that pic - it's the way he's holding his mouth... Actually buggritbuggrem, here it is (hope A doesn't mind the signal boost), just in case anyone knows it (pic on the left).

It looks Cassidy (pic on the right)/Intrigue sort of time to me - and there's something about the colour of this pic that makes me think tan (though of course it could be stage make-up or studio lighting), which would match with filming in Australia... But um! *g*

Oooh, wait - I have another game with which to avoid starting work.
MS BigKnifeMaybe(croppedface) 1989 Cassidy 01cropped
Difficult... The first two pics look most similar to me, but the differences with the third one could be due to so much, even just the pose... What d'you reckon? (Mystery Pic - The Big Knife - Cassidy) *g*

Okay, a bit of a puzzle to think on cheered me up, and fortify me for getting the hell on with work... Realistically everyone faffs when they first get into work, whether it's sanctioned faffing or not, right? Though even more realistically, Job 1 really doesn't have space for the faffing, cos it's really more like piecework in a factory, but with words and paragraphs, so... get on with it!

Today
09.00-10.00 - At desk. Faffing with this post. But I do feel more cheerful than when I sat down! Trouble is, it's 9.45 now...

10.00-11.00 - That's better. Job 1.1 13/26. Meanwhile, the smithy's on the yard, there's a strong smell of what I presume is burnt hoof, and I can hear the clanging... Wonder if they still call themselves smithy - probably not... *googles*... Oh, a farrier, of course! Still wish I'd known he was coming so I could've closed my windows!

11.00-12.00 - Fiddle practice - checked newspaper - Job 1.1 14-23/26

12.00-13.00 - Job 1.1 29/29 (normally half a day's work, but today I have extra to do... *sighs*) - Job 1.2 1-4/29.

13.00-14.00 - Lunch!

14.00-15.00 - erk, late lunch again, cos I looked for that MS picture again and then fiddle-practiced, and then... - Job 1.2-5-11/29.

15.00-16.00 - Job 1.2 12-22/31.

16.00-17.00 - Job 1.2 23-31/31. Yeay - one more to go... Job 1.3...-

17.00-18.00 - Job 1.3 1-12/23. Gaaargh - so close to finishing, and it's an awkward one (in an unpleasant font!)

18.00 - 19.00 - And done. And downloaded two more assignments. And blargh for awkward assignments that stop me finishing "on time"... *sighs* Still - done now, at 18.50. Time to cook dinner... and write. *g*

It is raining today, we got kissed good morning by the sun but fell asleep again and woke to rain.
It smells wonderful!

My brother beat me to getting rolls, but we're about to head to the beach.

I'm still puzzling over the piccy too. I'm sure I've seen it less cropped somewhere at some time, but all I can find now is the cropped version, with no accreditation. Grrrr!

In your pics, his face looks fuller in the first two, but then in the first one, his cheekbone looks more prominent... Anyhow, whatever, it's a nice way to spend a few minutes, gazing at the pretty men. Thank you, and happy paperwork and worky-work. (And yeah, burnt hoof smells pongy!)

Harlequin Airs is one of my great pleasure zines, despite the fact that the one I have is MISSING A PICTURE. About spit nails when I discovered that. Anyway. I thoroughly enjoy the build-up and the very evocative descriptions of circus life. And the OCs are folks I actually care about, as opposed to plot devices! Think you are correct about Spring-Heeled Jack as well, although I've not gone back to check...

Also caught by the chase-the-picture-mystery. I had pinned the image, but again, with no source or description. This is what I have found so far:

This is where I pinned it from... Still no closer to the actual role or time...

Must run, good luck!

I sympathise the working for oneself - hard not to procrastinate. Appreciate the research😜
