Felt a bit better today - hurrah! Not cough-wise, that's still driving me to distraction and the temptation of slitting my own through just to get it to stop, but... more thinking that there might be a tomorrow in which new things can be done! *g* Holidays, and summer breezes, and interesting worlds. In fact... *g*... inspired by one of the units I was working on today, I went wandering in the world of MOOCs, and then I actually signed up for one that starts on Monday, which is a bit exciting!

I've been a bit dubious about them, to be honest ("massive open online courses", if you're wondering, where you take courses via your computer, online, and there's no assessment or anything like that), because what I like about joining classes and things is meeting people, and interacting with them, and going to class, and when everything's virtual, it's just not the same... But then I can barely afford to study anything these days anyway, and MOOCs are free, and... you never know, right?

So this one is about researching geneaology, because I've been half-picking up my family tree again for ages now, and it would be good to get on with it and find stories and so on. I even found some sale-dvds over at the BBC shop to get inspired by - the Who Do You Think You Are? season that included our MS is on sale for just over £5 if anyone's interested - bargain, just for him! And there's other interesting people on too, including Billy Connolly. MS's was the only one I really saw, so hopefully they'll be encouraging!

In other news, I have just one unit left to do, and if I can get that done fast, I can have almost-three-days off before back to normal Job 1 - almost a holiday, that is! I suspect I'll still be collapsed at home for it (I'm being careful this time!), but how blissful that would be... *g*
