Happiness is - a bag full of new books... even if Mount TBR is rather receding into the distance...

Despite all those grey clouds, when I nipped out to check around half-eleven, I saw five Perseids - and one was a long and golden, and another was stumpy and bright and trailed by puffts of smoke! Felt like that one almost came down in Somerset!

Yeah, I got three more books in the mail yesterday. But while my Mount TBR is coming along just fine, there's already another "mount" growing, all ready for next year! Sheesh, the whole idea was to cut back on the number of books that I own. That doesn't seem to be happening. :-(

The trouble with books is that alot of the fun is finding new ones and looking forward to reading them... *vbg*

A bag of new books is bliss!

You seem to have had completely different weather from us - we were boiling hot sunshine all day. Sorry! And you had clouds for the meteors too - so not fair! The sky here was amazingly clear, so I got up and sat out on the lawn to watch around 2am and saw loads - probably about 3 a minute. So nice to have a meteor shower do what's it's meant to, and actually be able to see it, too. \o/

I love the smoky ones! You feel like they are just chugging by, don't you? :))

New bags of books are completely bliss! *g*

We seem to have clear days and then big cloud banks come over at night - which is fine, except when you want to watch the Perseids! But I've seen some too, and saw some this night. Mind you, three a minute would have been pretty spectacular!

Heee - yes! *g* Although my favourites are the ones that are really golden-coloured, like fireworks... *g*

Your sunflower is getting so tall - when is it likely to flower, do you think?

I don't know! I've seen sunflowers all out and gorgeous in the last week or so, and I'm a bit worried.... although there does seem to be a bit of a centre to the top now, so maybe I shall keep being hopeful... I have two other too, that are much smaller... well, actually I say they're much smaller, of course they're not up on the same pot-stand, so maybe they're less smaller than I think... *g*
