The trouble with this relaxing lark, is that I'm getting behind..! I did manage a quick hack-track mile around sunset on Boxing Day.

The last two sunset pics? I hope you can see the Somerset starling murmuration! I was so glad to have looked up at just the right moment, to see the biggest flock I've seen in real life passing over! Not quite as dramatic as the various famous photos, but they're there! I was at the other end of the fields, naturally, when they swooped in, and they were gone in a minute or so, but how fab!

Murmuration! *g*

I'm not sure what the flowers are to be honest (I bet someone knows though, and will tell us! *g*) - they're one of my favourite things though, bare-branches and spring-pink blossoms.

I think it might be a form of Viburnum. I had the Viburnum x bodnantense "Dawn" variety in my old place in Swindon and it looked a lot like that.

Love the starling photos. The colour of the sky alone would make them impressive, but the flock of starlings makes them spectacular.
Yay! for your shrub having little flowers already! So pretty when so much of the landscape is winter-bare. :-)

We've had some pretty apricot sunsets over the last few days - and the starlings were definitely a bonus! *g*

They are pretty impressive, aren't they - I was so amazed when the wee flock just went on and on and on... *g*
