I find myself on a boat...

I write to you from a snazzy new smartphone, from the front of a boat bound for Ireland! Having not driven up yesterday at a relaxed pace, stayed the night comfortably nearby and then had a wander before catching the boat, but having got up before 6am and driven for nearly five hours, I may be a little mazed... *g* But lets see if this works!
Just to prove I'm here!

Let's try a camera pic too... There's suddenly blue sky! Ooh, and engines starting! I'm torn between keeping my seat (that's the problem with travelling on your own) and going out on deck to watch... I'll try posting this first, anyway... (Hmm, the preview isn't quite what I formatted, but close...)

Thanks! The captain has described the seas as moderate to rough, but the sky is blue and I'm enjoying it so far. Of course I haven't tried to get up yet.. *g*

We are off! I have a whole week's holiday, and there is going to be exploring and relaxing, and finally catching up on lj and emails and everyone. I know I keep saying that, but this time I have done something hopefully clever about it... I've bought a new smartphone (eep!) that will hopefully mean I can connect easily to the internet, and snatch moments that were unsnatchable on my other phone. I've also bought something else, that is both clever and scary, and I'm going to post about that in a bit too... *g*

Yeay for posting from the new phone. Except that I forgot I was "roaming", so I need to work out whether I can actually do it or not! Ironically, my new sim, put into my old phone, has free roaming - but now it has no working camera (not entirely sure why not...) Anyway - thank you!

Well done on posting from your snazzy new phone! How did you manage to post a camera pic? Does your camera have bluetooth to connect to the phone? My camera can only connect to my laptop via cable, not directly to the phone, so if I want to post camera pics online using my phone I have to go through my laptop first. Annoying, but usually worth it, 'cause my camera pics are far better quality than smartphone pics.

Oh, I've misled you - sorry. I just meant the camera on the phone (the smartphone camera). I'm hoping for good things from the pics though, as I chose the Huawei P10 partly for it's fancy dual-lens Leica camera... *g* We'll see - and thanks!
