Mount TBR 2019 Challenge
0 2019 Mount TBR challengebanner Now that I'm all unpacked again, and hopefully at home for a while, I'm looking forward to getting back to reading properly again. Not that I ever stopped reading, but last year's Mount TBR didn't get as far as I was hoping (since they all ended up in storage for eight months of the year...), and otherwise I just read, without talking much about it. Which might have been a relief to you all (*g*) but I'm going to give tracking it here a go again this year! I have lots of To-Be-Read books on my shelves, and I'm in a book group that meets once a month. And I'll include fanfic too, because that's reading. ETA - oh, and I forgot to say! I'm going to try for Mount Blanc again this year (24 books) but actually hope that I can climb higher and higher... *g* (My 2019 Mount TBR post)

ETA - ooh, found another reading challenge to play! Livejournal BookBingo - at [livejournal.com profile] ljbookbingo

I won't officially sign up but will join you in spirit, as I did unannounced in 2018. With your encouragement I read 31 books off of what I call "the shelf of shame." I'll try for that much or more again this year. I've loved seeing the length of unread books diminish. Now if I can only read enough to make the shelf of shame actually fit on one shelf!

Oh, well done for getting to 31 - I didn't manage anything near! I think I got to 12 before it all ended up in storage - oh well! And hah for the "shelf of shame" - I felt rather like that about mine for ages... then it was more like the bookcase of shame, and I just had to accept that I have books to read in my house. *g*

Here's to a good year's reading!

I didn't do it officially last year but managed to read 33 of my own books regardless. Hoping to keep up the good work by doing it officially this year and am doing Mont Blanc... which one are you doing?

Hello - I was thinking about you today, what with all the reading-thoughts. Hope your world is being kind. *g*

Well done for 33 TBR books last year - I'd feel really accomplished if I managed that one year! I did read 12 last year, which was at least officially a mountain, even if that was Pike's Peak!

I think I'm going to go for Mount Blanc again this year (it's what I'd originally hoped for last year) - but I'd like to keep going higher than that if I can.

I've just found a reading bingo game that looked fun too, so even though I thought I wouldn't do any other challenges this year - it looks like I will after all... *g*

My world is varying a bit at the moment *g* but am not going to complain. :-)

Yes, I was very happy to get 33 books off the tbr pile... the trouble is, I'm not at all sure how many came 'into' the house in their stead. LOL! I too would like to get higher than Mont Blanc but we'll see, what I need is not to keep bringing 10 books home from the library!

The reading bingo game sounds fun. I'm doing a World at War challenge that's set out as a Bingo game too. I found about 10 books for that without even trying. *Looks shifty* In fact I seem to have signed up for 5 challenges without realising it.

Look forward to your bookish posts, mine are on my Blogspot blog these days.

Ha - yes, I too have that strange books-out-books-in exchange thing going on - and I think I'm losing, if the idea is to have fewer books. Except that more books is really always winning, so it works for me. *g*

And hee - five challenges! I think last year you said you were going to have a year off, so I guess that year's over now. *g*

I've been trying to add your blogspot to my flist via RSS feed, but for some reason it just won't add - I guess lj and blogspot aren't compatible somehow... So I'm back to saying that I really will try to keep up, and work out a better way of doing it... I still have you bookmarked! Maybe email notifications would be the way to go... hmmn!

Wow, you're off to a quick start! I still need to re-up, but I'm still working on the first two books, so there's no hurry.

Actually I have another book to add too, though it's a fanfic one. It's long though, probably longer than the posh literature that I just read for book group!

I have a strange feeling that you may catch up and pretty quickly overtake me... *vbg*
