closequartersI must admit I'm struggling to find the happy today, because I woke up in the really nasty stage of my cold, after not sleeping well the night before, and I'm been fuzzy and energy-less and yet restless and bored today! Oh dear!

On the other hand, the whole point is to try really hard and find the little things, isn't it, so... here's one! I read this week's Reading Room story in the original zine, and that's the cover here, and then just kept going and read the a few more Pros stories. Elena's Shoes by Irene, and then Dance While You Can by Alexandra, and now I'm up to Fit to be Tied by Gwyneth Rhys, which I remember as something of a guilty pleasure years ago. So that'll be my cosy-in-bed-reading tonight, I think. (On that note, Reading Room was really really quiet this weekend, for some reason - is everyone off doing exciting things, or...?

Oh, and I've been catching up at last with the new series of Doctor Who at last, and enjoying it. Just watched ep five, the Tesla one.

People talking to me via my posts! That makes me happy! *g* Thank you for commenting! *vbg*

And yeah, my cold is definitely getting better, and that makes me happy! *g*

So glad to hear your cold is starting to get better!

And yay for cozy-in-bed reading! I would do it more, but I don't know when to stop...which is a bad thing on work nights, lol.

Shamefully it is four days later by the time I'm replying, but happily my cold is definitely on the med!

I know what you mean about reading in bed - I quite often read far longer than I should, even though I'm reading less long than I used to (if you see what i mean...) I used to be able to wake up and then read in bed too, and i somehow can't do that any more. Maybe if I was more active naturally in the day, again... I need to work on that!

My problem is I think, "I'll just finish this chapter, and then I'll go to bed," and then I get so absorbed that when I next come up for air, I've lost all sense of time and it's after midnight. And I have to wake up at 5:30 am on work days. D:

And no worries about the reply time.

I'm sorry you're sick! Ugh. I hope you will be comfortable enough to enjoy reading and being cozy, though.
Thank you for posting the cover - it's lovely!

Shamefully it is four days later by the time I'm replying (but happily my cold is much better), but yes! It's a nice zine cover that, isn't it. *vbg*

Get well soon! I wish you a lot of happy things today. It's a pretty good idea thinking about what made me happy instead of negative things.

Thank you! Thinking about happy things is a good idea, isn't it. It's not originally mine either - it's from a meme that people were doing a few years ago. I did it once, and it seemed like time to do it again... *g*

I've been reading Pros, too!
Pamela Rose, which was captivating and boring at once. *ggg*

Face Value, Fevers, If wishes were, Poison apples, Professional dreamer, Where the worms are and I started on Time out: Past tense but put it aside very quickly.
And I skipped quite a lot of paragraphs in a few of them.

So glad your cold is getting better! I give you so many kudos for finding happy in everyday. I probably would have given up by now but there is always something we can find to be happy about if we look!

Shamefully it is four days later by the time I'm replying, but the good news is that my cold is even better... *g*

I must admit that some days are harder than others to find happy moments - but there's usually something, if I think hard enough. Actually it's usually something to do with being outside, and seeing nature, when I think about it - the rainbow, or birds in the distance, or glimpsing the moon... Or maybe I'm just lucky that those things do make me at least briefly happy. *g*

That's a great zine, and one I still own. :-)

Glad to hear that you're on the mend, and that nasty cold has been shown the door.

It's one of the good ones, isn't it - definitely a keeper!

Shamefully it is four days later by the time I'm replying, but the cold is well and truly on the way out - and I'm looking forward to getting my sense of smell back, too! *g*

Shamefully it is four days later by the time I'm replying, but I think it is! I'm watching out for sneak return attacks, cos I'm still at the coughing stage, but... I think the bugger's high-tailed it... *g*
