Oh, it's weird times, isn't it... Don't know about you, but I'm finding it fairly hard to focus on any one thing. I have the Lads in Lockdown half in mind - I know all sorts that are going to happen, but my brain's still chuntering along the next few hours after Doyle's... well, that would be telling. *g* But I'm determined my brain will re-focus and get there. *g* I'm slightly distracted by having done something to my wrist - not sure why, but it's a bit swollen and sore, even just lying in cushioned comfort in bed at night - and by my laptop mouse playing up a bit too - gargh! Still, I'm relatively comfortable here at home, my volunteer patch seems to be sorted, and even if the wind was cold today, and the clouds were out, there was also still sunshine.

The clocks went forward here today. On the one hand we lost an hour, on the other hand - light, glorious light in the evenings (which is when I tend to be most awake...)

My goal today was to plant some seeds in the greenhouse that Landlord won't be using this season, but in the end I kept being interrupted, and only got as far as clearing my veggie bed. Still, that's a happy thing to start with.

On the bright side, Landlord says he's not planning to do any more gardening than he can near the house, so I've probably got two greenhouses to myself, as well as his three-times-the-size veggie bed outside. Let's see what I can do... I have work tomorrow, and half a day on Tuesday at the moment - hopefully I can do some gardening around that.

My Christmas cactus made me happy today - she's also an Easter cactus (which she has been before, so I did wonder... *g*

And the goblin village was back again tonight at sunset - look at this amazing goblin cathedral... *g*

Ooh, I'm seeing wolfs-head windows, too... *g*

Otherwise, I sunk into watching Bridget Jones' Baby this evening, and when I've got time I'll catch up with the second ep of McDonald and Dodds. But last night - last night I watched a random Pros ep, which turned out to be - Involvement. I so love that moment at the end where Bodie goes after Doyle, Doyle shrugs him off, and then is the one who puts his arm around Bodie at the end... *sigh*

Speaking of *sigh* - I'm rereading Tangled Web by Jack Reuben Darcy, which I adore - my heart for them... *g* Anyone else reading Pros fic? Or watching eps?

Take care, my lj-friends - stay at home, wash your hands, and keep half an eye on the sunshine, because it will always be out there for us.

Your posts are bringing me spring, since our weather is grey and chilly, not to mention the social distancing thing keeping people at home. Your vegetable bed looks ready! And your flowering cactus is beautiful.

Our weather's gone grey and chilly since this post too - brrr! Although the sun has occasionally come out over the last few days, which is cheering when it happens - a reminder and a promise! In fact this weekend it's supposed to get to 17C for one day - crossing fingrers! I never used to mind colder weather, but the house I live in is so cold that it takes all the joy out of it...

Hope you're doing okay over there!

Thank you! The Christmas cactus is so cheerful - I love realising that it's about to bloom too, like life and joy coming into the world for a while!

Hope your world is okay too, and that everyone's able to stay safe.

Love the random Pros Ep Idea.
After listening to Society of Gentlemen all day I wanted to watch Keeves and Wooster, but we talked as a family instead. Very nice!

I've never listened to SoG - I love the books so much that I worry they'd be a bit spoiled using someone else's imagination for the voices and so on... What I really want is a printed version of the books - I hate hate that they're only electronic!

Hurrah for family chats - and here's to many more happy ones for you! *g*

Thanks so much for posting such lovely things - I can practically smell the earth in your veg patch and look forward to many more pictures of sunshine and flowers! :D

Hello! The world has gone grey and chill here over the last week, but we're promised 17C for the weekend, so I'm crossing fingers... Hope you're staying safe in the Big Smoke!

Mmmmm, love the warming earth picture. Can't wait to see what you grow.

And yep, I'm comfort-reading Larton for the umpteenth time. Tragic! But lovely. And incredibly comforting.

I keep eyeing up Larton and thinking not-yet not-yet not-yet - but I know I'm going to get there, because it is the ultimate comfort read... although I adore Island Innocents too - do you have that one? If not, drop me an email... *g*

I can't wait to see what I grow too - I'm not very good at it, to be honest, but perhaps I'll do better than last year!

Oh, Involvement is one of my favorites, too many precious moments there. And Cowley has to stop Bodie twice from running after Doyle! *sigh indeed*

You got me into reading Tangled Web now, started yesterday before sleep 🙂

Yep, doing a rewatch while on lockdown (as if I needed an excuse) and am going to watch Hunter Hunted next!!! Can’t wait 😍

Girl, take care of that wrist. You mentioned your mouse being silly, could it be that the cause?

Oh, Hunter Hunted is an excellent choice - enjoy! Maybe I'll try and watch that too, and we could have a Hunter Hunted posting day. Shame we can't do another Proswatch for everyone to join in, but I'm not sure they would these days...

Isn't Tangled Web excellent before-sleep reading? *g* I just finished it last night, and I'm casting around for what I could read next... Maybe Forever True by Elizabeth Holden... *g*

My wrist is definitely a bit better. It's the opposite one to my mouse-wrist, so not that. It is the one that I use to hold books while reading though, and I've been reading a couple of heavy ones, so it might be that!!

Hunter Hunted is also on the same disk as The Rack, another favorite of mine, which is such a bonus for my lazy ass... so I guess I’ll watch that too. Always available if you ever want to compare notes 😜

I’m liking Tangled Web, even if I’m not familiar with Alan Cade but I’m managing well. I think I’m still 1/3 in the story - I’m reading at least another 3 fics in the meanwhile, now going for the fourth apparently since you mentioned Forever True...

Oh, heavy books... thank god for ipad and the likes, never understood how we are supposed to handle a book that weights a ton.

Lol - I'm the opposite, I'd much rather proper paper books and printed-out fic! I didn't realise how much I glance back at other pages, and subconsciously measure how far through a book or story I am, and factor that into the way I'm reading. Like, if you know you're halfway through a story, that has entirely different implications from knowing you're near the end, and I hate not knowing if a story is suddenly going to end on me! (Books that include a big chapter from another book at the end make me frown too - you're expecting that much more story, and instead it ends when you weren't expecting it!)

Glad you liked Tangled Web! I tried to holding off reading cross-over fic until I'd at least glimpsed the other show/film/whatever that it was based on, but it's hard...

I like The Rack as well... and I'm also always available for note-comparing! (Even if I'm sometimes a bit late... *g*) If you ever fancied posting about eps or stories or whatever, it would be fun to chat... *vbg*

Oh, I’m like you, always going back and forth through pages and checking how long is the story. Just a matter of personal preference between proper book and digital device. With actual printed book I always go to the last page first thing, I don’t like surprises! 😉

Where do Pros fandom chats usually happen on LJ? Your place, my place, community... ? I‘m a lost cause around here, I know.

I love it when Christmas cactuseseses bloom - they're so cheerful!

I think my wrist is starting to feel better - I have a feeling it might have been related to the size of the books I was reading! I'm using a cushion to help now... *vbg*

Stay safe too - hugs back!
