How is it June already...?

I keep meaning and meaning to post again, and I haven't for ages. But tonight I want to just post some pics for firefly1311, and generally say hi again to everyone at the same time. Hi again! *g*

It's been a glorious few weeks over here, and now we have clouds and rain for a bit, which the ground is sooooo thankful for! And veg plots and flower beds, and metal detectorists who want to dig in the hard dry ground are thankful for it too. *g* (Though it's not really been much yet...)

There's been some detectoring, and some scarecrow-making for our village scarecrow trail...

So even though I'm back at work again, it's not too shabby really. Driving me slightly mad that my usual exam-work break from proofreading isn't on this year, and I'm definitely going to have to take more breaks as I go along (otherwise my eyes and my brain give up entirely *g*), but... Oh, and I've started my re-read of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin books. I've been waiting so patiently because I knew once I started I wouldn't want to read anything else until I'd read all 27 or so, and then I realised I'd been patient for about ten years, and that means I'm definitely allowed to indulge! Plus I'd forgotten just how joyful they are. *g*

What do you mean it was already June, I - oh dear, now it's not even the beginning of June and I'm even further behind :-s Well just to say hi and look after yourself and thank you for the lovely photos! I'm just trying to get back into some work, think what little brain I had available is a bit turned to mush - probably should never have defrosted it ... *g*
