Opened the curtains to these views this morning - blue sky! A rainbow!

...and then it rained.

Nipped out for a walk when it seemed to have cleared up a bit more...

...although I had a feeling about what might happen in a little while... *g*

Quick walk through the village to check for signs of autumn...

...which is clearly here, because it started raining just before I got home again (into my nice warm, dry new place... *g*)

...and it rained and rained and rained... And I was very glad that it wasn't my night for foodsaving, I have to say... *g*

Oh how idyllic your new surroundings are... and those signs of autumn are very pretty indeed. There's no comparison to being able to live in a dry place, especially in English weather *g*, and where you gets lots of natural light, especially as days are getting shorter 😊

I really am very lucky - lucky to start with living in this village, and lucky now to be living slightly outside the village on the farm! And oh the bliss of not having to worry about damp! Of being able to turn the heating on if I need to! It really does cheer up the idea of a dark wet winter no end! *g*

Sounds like a great day!
How's unpacking going? Did everything fit like you planned?

Well I didn't get on with work as well as I should have, but I'm glad I made the effort to go out for a walk. *g*

I think it's going to fit as planned - but my office still isn't finished, so I have lots of shelves and boxes in the middle of the room still and can't always get to things that I should put away elsewhere, so it's not finished yet. Today I must go back to the old place and finish cleaning there, and collect the rest of my stuff from the slaughterhouse, and plants from my garden...

Lol - I prefer to think of it as a practical village, like Larton... although our church does have one or two historical features, and there's no Catholic church with a tin roof or any other kind... *g* But you're right, it is beautiful!

Those are lovely photos of the rain, though. Dramatic and also cosy.

I must admit I rather like the rain photos, for both the reasons you give. *g*
