Yup, you heard me. Life in the country goes on! *g*
It's been dry enough that I picked up the watering can, which I'd left half full the night before, ready to water some plants - only I could see something blocking the spout. A leaf? I thought - and then it moved! The worst thing is, it must have been in the watering can the evening before when I watered plants too, because I noticed that the water wasn't coming out very well... and that means he must have been in there when I filled the watering can more than once yesterday, though I've no idea how I wouldn't have noticed him then. Poor old toad! He sat in the grass for ages, just burrowing down a little more - hopefully he'll move on tonight... but not back into the watering can!

In other news, the molehills became more mountainous overnight too - and also became more molehills! So I scooped up the earth into a pot and planted some radishes. We'll see. *g*
And don't worry, I also mowed that grass. *g*

Date: Monday, 6 September 2021 04:38 am (UTC)Big old spider came out of our wee watering can before our holidays. *shudders*
My scream scared Mr. Maus, but he saved me. He takes these horrid things into his hand. *shudders some more*
I wonder how your cohabitation with Mr. And Mrs. Mole will work out.
