(And happy birthday to my no-longer-so-wee nephew. He's a teenager now...)

Today's walk involved a lot of looking up... (Does anyone else see the Great Sky Goose in the second pic? *g*)

...until I realised I was missing out on looking down. The sun was shining a trail across the grass... wait a minute, what was it shining off? The whole field was covered in gossamer spider webs!

And the deer are still around! There were actually four in the field, but only two of them stood together still for long enough... *g*

As ever, such wonderful photos of the countryside in the sunshine. Not so wonderful when it was tipping it down with rain the other day and blowing a gale! But the spiders are working overtime at the moment. And yes, definitely a Great Sky Goose flying past in that picture.

Thank you! It does help that it's quite pretty around here... *g* I must admit I rather like the wet and gale-y weather too - as long as I'm snug indoors! Or dry gale-y weather for wild walks!

I see the great sky goose!

We had gossamer like that about 10 days ago — but you know what the winds can be like here...

I'd never seen webs like that until I moved to this farm!

And hee - not many webs to be seen when it's blowing a hooley...! *g*

The world can still be beautiful! It's easy to forget that it's still out there, just going about its own beautiful business, isn't it...

Thanks! It was just an ordinary thistle in the field, but looking particularly symmetrical... *g*
