Is it autumn yet?

The clocks went back last night, and I had my covid booster yesterday, so I'm feeling a bit dazed with the world so far today. Solution? Post to lj! *g* I actually went to bed early (for me - just before midnight), so it rather threw me to wake up at 5.45am-ish, having actually had nearly seven hours sleep (again, that's my normal - in fact pretty good for me!), but not feeling quite ready to get up yet, so I didn't... and when I did it was still before 7am!!

I had my jab around 2.30pm yesterday, and my arm didn't even start aching until not long before I went to bed - but then I couldn't sleep on my left side all night! *headdesk* I think the ache is fading now. I have a slight headache (barely counts as a headache, but there) and feel a bit drippy, but that could be me rather than the shot... *g* Well, it's probably the shot, but it's also Sunday, so I can roll with it. *g*

It is looking a bit autumn-y in the village... *g* Yesterday was ridiculous though - when I finally got up (after working until about 4am *headdesk*) I'd missed half a day that was warm, with an amazing balmy breeze - my favourite kind of day! It's cooler today, but still not October-cold. Absolutely no need to put the heating on yet...

And finally - a very fun surprise when I finally sorted out how to hang the big mirror my last landlady gave me. It only had a hook to hang it vertically, and I wanted it horizontal, so I was peeling back the tape to see what the wood was like for attaching things to, and... How cool is that?! I have a film-star mirror! I can't at all work out what the other bits of writing mean, but I'd like to think it was hints to the film it had been in. *g* That middle word that's a bit cut off just before "Sold" looks like "THARAT"...

And now I'm feeling a bit droopy as well as drippy, so I think I'm going to take a break from sitting upright!

So, all caught up with your covid shots? At least for this year? *g* So far in the last few months I've gotten my covid booster, flu shot, tetanus, and both shingles shots. I'm hoping that next year they can at least combine the covid shot with the flu shot.

We're definitely in Autumn, as our backyard is a sea of leaves! The day will be spent raking. 🙁

Yup, covid and flu! They don't give tetanus boosters over here after you've had them for a certain length of time, because they apparently found that there comes a point when it doesn't top you up any more, so I've been up-to-date with that for ages now. And I'm not eligible for shingles yet. So I think I'm as far as I can go - although I've got my Vit. B shot tomorrow, but that's a bit different. *g*

I think they did flu and covid together for a lot of people over here - it'd definitely save trips!

Happy raking - I know it's a job, but it's a pretty, autumn-scented job, right? *g*

I shall have to watch all films now for a glimpse of that mirror! *vbg*

I had the newest booster a few weeks ago and thankfully, had no problems but a tender spot for a few days. Still worth the trouble, though.

Definitely worth the trouble to have your covid booster! I'd rather have a sore arm and be a bit droopy for a day or two than have a nasty bout of covid... I still haven't knowingly had it at all yet...

I shall be watching Pinewood films very carefully from now on! *vbg*

I think I am feeling better thanks — the odd low-level headache which I wouldn't normally expect, and which might or might not be jab-related (other friends have reported headaches). Interesting to hear that most people I know have been given Pfizer this time too...

We seem to have an autumn of wind and rain :) It is not conducive to photography :(

I had my flu jab a few weeks ago and we are going to the drop-in session tomorrow to get our covid ones done. I'm hoping I feel ok after it as I have volunteered to do an extra day in the Churches' Bookshop on Wednesday.

Crossing fingers for your covid jabs - I think the people I know have been half-and-half as to how they reacted, so hopefully you'll be a nice easy one. *g*
