byslantedlightAh, Blood Sports - another one I don't consider a great favourite, and hardly ever re-watch, but let's see...
A polo... and guns. Kind of interesting to see actually (the polo!) but they are going on a bit... Ooh, it's sometime before the end of January 1981! *g* And that's in - credits! Weird timing of the prequel-y bits, sometimes massively unnecessarily long, other times so short...
Better - Bodie playing cricket! It's a very Bodie thing to do I always think - and hee he's got - what was that, a four?
Although, what is Doyle talking about... that came really fast...... Hmmn, don't think he's with that girl, do you? Bit of a perfunctory "got to go", so...
Oh, Doyle is so there with Bodie - he's so impressed with him, and all smile-y that he's doing well!
Love that Bodie looks around to Doyle automatically when he whistles - oh, and their faces, hee, especially Doyle's when he realises what he's done! *g*
And Bodie getting changed in the back, love him undoing his trousers and talking to Doyle and... ooh, naked leg when he's thrown against the side - not noticed that before! *vbg*
Lads roll up to Cowley at the polo - Bodie all changed and dark-clothed, and looking at Doyle as he walks up to join them... Oh, and looking to each other with ideas as ever...
I wonder if Anita's - Spanish? Portuguese? - is any good? *g*
Ah, the lads being bomb squad again - see Bodie scuttling back to search the car! The Bodie Scuttle... sounds like a dance move, something they'd be doing on seaside proms and Butlins' around the country! *g*
The lads jacking the car up and off the bomb - so high tech they are... Hee - Doyle's "Don't tread on it"! And they just get it clear when the bomb squad roll up...
Ooh - Bodie being nasty cop, like the Takeaway cops - "Wife on the game is she?" to intimidate the informer... Lads are off working together at least... Doyle's looking old... Hee - he's whistling for Bodie again too!
Dum-de-dum bad guy bit, sort of... unenthusiastic car chase from the lads, as if they're feeling a bit dum-de-dum about it as well... Ah, for the days when people would get out of the way if you shouted at them from your car! *g*
Bodie's after the girlie mag again... you protest too much, mate! He's looking very svelte there though in that jacket - nice colour, good cut, dreadful detailling! Oh, and that's a very MS look there, I'd say! *g*
Doyle at the funeral with Anita... Doyle's looking old... What is it? His hair longer and not so curly? His clothes? His... he seems tired, a bit worn-out.
Oh the restaurant scene! What is he drinking there - something green with... that's not lime at all, that's cucumber, you can see the seeds in the middle.
And heeee, what's Bodie drinking?! Something pink with - salt? sugar? - around the rim! Hee - love Bodie's little nudge of Doyle as they're watching the couple, and of course his hand on Doyle's shoulder, suggesting they have a discreet table for two...
Adore Bodie under the bed! Such a lovely smile... and hee for "Doing the housework, deary?" - "Someone should, I'm choking to death here!"
The lads are apart again... on the RT though - and awww, Bodie wants them to play squash afer work, and Doyle sounded all chuffed to hear from him and just... aww. Even if he is thinking about Anita Carreros...
And Doyle's straight to the buggyboo to join Bodie, who's well-chuffed that Anita's got more boyfriends than just Doyle's hopes! Heee - look at his face when he gets Doyle to listen to "Roll 1"... oh, I love Doyle looking over Bodie's shoulder like that though...
And in fact he's totally leaning on Bodie's shoulder, actually!
Doyle back in the gold Capri... and straight on the RT to Bodie... *g*
Ooh - agents 1.1.8 and 9.3!
Heeee - I love Doyle ducking the vases being thrown at him!
Hee - Bodie and Cowley at the door! Ha - Cowley being all placating... Oh dear - and Bodie breaking it to another woman that her boyfriend is not who she thinks he is...
Ah, and the lads jousting in the car... Bodie totally laughing at Doyle - hee! I love how they know which buttons to press, the way talk in their shorthand... and of course all the extra little meanings that I read into that shorthand! *g*
Oh, and Doyle all aware that his job is not perfect - but he still claims that it's not like a secret police. Presumably not counting the secrecy bit. Or the powers above all bit.
Oh, and Ruby Wax being all over the top - quel surpris...
Aww - Doyle's brought Bodie to the restaurant! And he sits beside him... *g*
Lads together in the car again... I dunno - there's something rather lacklustre about this ep though - as if they're going through the motions a bit...
Ha - love Bodie's jolly-hockey "Fine shot!" while he's caddying! *g* He doesn't look quite the natural caddy though does he - even with a flag in one hand and the golfbag thingie in the other!
Hee - how many practices did Doyle have at taking that corner?! *g*
Dear me Bodie - that's an awful lot of firepower you've got there to chase one man across a golf course!
Doyle in the shrubbery... *g* Eep - he manages to catch the bad guy though...
And hee - Doyle is caught at Anita's - by Bodie and Cowley, surprise... Oh, look at Bodie's face - hee!
And um, look at Doyle in that t-shirt... all sort of... bendy again. No wonder Bodie was... well. *g* It's all about what happens after after the next bit... *g*
Um. The word I was looking for earlier, for the car chase and all, was definitely lacklustre though... Is it that they were trying to fit too much into one ep again? Or have they just run out of steam and energy? Need a holiday away, that's what our lads need... *g*
There - I think that's the quickest I've ever watched an ep, edited up the words, and added pics! Must get to bed now though - I've got school tomorrow, school tomorrow... *g*
