A small jump...

byslantedlightMy first entry. Tentative. If I expect other people to read it, then surely it should be interesting? But maybe I don't expect anyone to read it... oh dear, how do these things usually go?
Perhaps... the whole reason I signed up to LJ in the first place is to have an outlet for my new Pros obsession - well, new in the last few months, since I found the dvds at lovefilm... and then amazon... and then the whole writhing world of fandom and slash! And places like The Safehouse... *grins very very happily*.
I am also planning on, very soon, dealing with the icons issue. I want to make my own but I have to wait until my computer escapes the clutches of the hurricaned south, and then I have to figure out how to do dvd captures (?do I even have the terminology right?!), and then the world is my... well, at least the Boys are my playthings. Ish. In the meantime I am gathering courage to "take" - with much gratitude and credit and all - icons from the wonderful Safehousers who offer them up for use. But I come back to the whole - is it okay for newbies to do that - thing. And a part of me reckons that of course, it must be, everyone has to start somewhere, right? And a part of me worries that I will break some netiquette and be blacklisted from all Pros sites forthwith!
Anyway.
When I get brave enough I will post fic and reviews and general Pros thoughts, since I can't possibly talk about it with the grown up people here in RL! They would laugh and think me scary and weird... Trust me, they're that kind of grown up. Lovely, mind.
And now the workday is finally dragging to a distracted end, just like me... Pub, dinner, and very possibly a little B/D beckon...
