Snow didn't last, of course.  Was pretty though, in a grey-and-white kind of way.

Lots of best news today though.  Well, yesterday really, but hey-ho.  My boxes came!!  Yes!!  And somewhere in them are the rest of my Pros episodes, and I am gonna find them and treat myself tonight... yeay!!  So much stuff I wanna check out now that I'm writing...!  That said, I denied myself a laptop last night, and my eyes feel so much better for it this morning... course I read print-outs instead... ; )

Which reminds me, I must find out more about my current favourite tale, "Voice Over" by Elizabeth O'Shea.  She doesn't have anything else posted on Circuit Archive, and "Voice Over" is just lovely.  She's got the Boys just right for me, and its all warm and fuzzy, but its way too funny to tip over into goo...  P'raps I'll ask the nice people over in ProsLit...  I wonder if anyone ever did a review of it somewhere, I'd be curious to know what others think.  Must look into this *puts on list of things to do*

And my other nice news, I can move into the Gorgeous Cabin next Friday!  I talked to my landlord, and she was peeved but a sweetie.  I don't blame her, mind.  I've offered to wash all the nasty walls that lead down to the Hole-in-the-Ground, and do some painting in lieu of the short notice.  Its so not the sort of thing I do normally, but I swear this is a special case...

And finally - was very happy to see an LJ explaining how she'd write whatever she wanted in her LJ, cos it was hers!  Yeay.  Means I don't have to justify writing all this pap, cos its just for me in the end!!  Well, I knew that, but nice to see someone else say it!  (Huh.  How long did it take us to go from hearing what people say, to seeing what people say... and will it make any difference in the long-run?)

Right.  Work. Again.

Well, as always, thankyou! I'm so used to keeping a journal longhand that it seems strange to be doing it not only on my computer, but as something that can be read by other people! So I'm still a weird mix of self-interest and self-consciousness! But its interesting... and how cool that people read it and join in my thoughts!

Hello! I 'found' you through [livejournal.com profile] queenbamfie and [livejournal.com profile] thesafehouse. Although I'm a relative newcomer myself - welcome to the community! The more love for the Pros, the better and the happier we all are. :)

You mentioned the magic words, "Voice Over"? Isn't it an amazing story? I remembered that it was recommended at the [livejournal.com profile] crack_van - there's a little discussion to start you off.

It is SO beautiful!! Great to hear from you - I love LJ for this sort of thing! Thanks very much for the link too. I think I've found another story by Elizabeth O'Shea (well, I've found a reference to it): "Stir the Pudding and Make a Wish" in ROSES & LAVENDER 5. Have you come across this? I'm totally determined to get hold of it somehow!
Would you mind if I add you to my flist (look at me with the lingo and all..!) - I love the Pros-ness of your LJ!? It makes me happy... *sigh*

I haven't read it - I am zine-less... :( but I'll keep that one in mind for a first purchase.

I'd love to be on your flist and I hope you won't mind me adding you to mine. I also look for and long for journals with high Pros content - so I'm glad to find yours :)

I think your phrase a weird mix of self-interest and self-consciousness is a perfect description of journaling here. I know that I feel the same.

I actually just sent off for my first zine. Okay, zines - two of them. No wonder I'm broke. But I reckon I'll be happy!
