Ack, late! Luckily I don't seem to have missed anything... *g*

He's armed - intercept! Arrest! Yeay!

Baddies and baddies and baddies - of all different flavours. Ah, John Gerry Patterson, here you are in England and you're staying at the Holiday Inn! Cowley doesn't think much of that either... he's being mean to him...

Ah, here's the bloke who set off all those little guys with grey beards and whacky outtakes - all that candid stuff on his home movie camera... And the baddie letting the old guy just wander up and rip off his mask? Maybe he didn't see him coming through those tiny eyeholes, eh? It's hard to see out of those at the best of times, never mind when you're holding up half the motorway!

Aha! The lads! Nice shot - Doyle canting those hips, and accentuating it with his hands... *g* Doyle all riled - "Gave him no chance - that wasn't necessary"

Heee! Now Doyle's got his hands crossed over his chest - now he's got them back on his hips - now he's got them back across his chest... *g*

Bodie in pink - nice contrasting white holster. *g* Ah - he reads his stars he tells Doyle and there's a twinkle in those eyes... *g*

Oh, they're touching! Yes! Shoulder to shoulder in Cowley's office, touching unnecessarily... *vbg* Still touching... still touching... long speech, Cowley... Okay, I'd swear that's Doyle swaying forward just a little bit so that he and Bodie stay touching... Oh - even better - they've both moved over to slump against the window, Doyle's sitting down, Bodie's leaning against the cabinet - they're not touching I'd've said... except they are a minute later, Doyle's moved closer again! Heee!

Okay, sorry - professionalism. Yes, they're all being very clever about how to catch the baddies. Oh, bugger professionalism - the lads are looking very nice in this somehow - might be the shirts and shoulder holsters of course! Doyle's hair's growing out a bit too, I think. They both look fit - in all senses of the word! *g*

Doyle out of the newspaper shop - he's been betting on the horses again... uh-oh, the papers have been very silly... or at least that one tabloid paper that he bought did! Impatient Doyle - love how he's so geeky with his not-quite-flamboyant hand gestures and all! Ah, they saved the old boy... some nice running over the grass they did too. Hee - "He's a crusty old cove!" And there the lads go zooming off in their car again...

Oh - Tommy! In a Capri, while the lads are still driving that clunky white Rover(?)... And a black Capri no less, very cool.

Oh dear - silly old truck driver - and there's a rather cross Tommy. Now he does actually look as much like a CI5 agent as our lads do... Wonder why Cowley calls him by his first name and everyone else by their second? Though he reverts to his surname for the final shout...

What's Doyle been eating?! Oh, chewing gum... And slouching well down in his seat too. Ah - unnecessary touching as they stop at the wall to talk about Tommy! And brushing of arms as they walk very close together. *g*

Tommy doing posh voice - maybe it's a CI5 in-joke... Hee - Bodie chooses to run, Doyle and Tommy decide that's a good idea! And into the scary dark warehouse. Love 'em prowling around with their guns drawn, looking all competent... Up the steps... nice dark blue jeans, Doyle - and Bodie looking very dangerous today - he's cut his hair... Hey! I'd swear I've seen that brown leather jacket on one of the baddies in another ep - perk of being the good guy, you get to nick the decent clothes?!

Bodie brushes past Doyle again so that they touch... opening the blue door... Yes! He puts a hand on Doyle's back to usher him through! *melts* More competency with guns... love Bodie's scrunched up face when he's doing something dubious...

Doyle recognises Tin Can very quickly - ah, he gives a little mime to tell Bodie that Tin Can's on heroin, I've never seen that before! Doyle's quite amused by him at the same time as trying to be a bit tough with him... Hee - I like Tin Can... "Which nationality were they?" - "White..." - "How did they talk?" - "White!" Hee - Doyle called him "TC", all I think of when I hear that is the "Top Cat" song - He's the lea-der o-of the pack!

Ah, the lads back with Cowley - Bodie insisting that he and Doyle get credit for saving the witnesses. More touching! The lads standing together again in the office, and close enough to touch! What has Bodie done to his hair?! It looks like it's all been smoothed over with brylcream or summat! Hee - he gives Doyle a look when Cowley tells him off for pointing out that staying indoors behind closed curtains is what newly-weds normally do!

A couple of very old CI5 agents there at the hotel...

Ah, serious lads in Cowley's office - Bodie being black humoured again, and getting frowns from Cowley and Doyle this time!

Oh gawd, I hate this bit - Cowley blaming himself, Doyle jumping in and denying it so quickly... Doyle biting his lip - that helps make it better! *g* Aw - he taps Bodie on the arm to say goodbye as he goes off to see Tin Can! They're very touch-y feel-y this ep! And now Bodie's the one trying to comfort Cowley.

I love how Doyle's so gentle with Tin Can - as if he's known him a long time.

Bodie's story about the nurse in Africa, who cut her wrists and said Bodie'd let her down when he rejected her... He's a bit - "I dunno, wasn't my fault..." but he doesn't look like he's quite managed to convince himself actually.

Tommy slouched by the dining room table, comfy beside the silver! Hee - "Well done, Wesley, very well done!" for the agent who attacks Cowley... that's perked Cowley up at least...

And more Doyle being gentle with Tin Can - and yet professional with it, and then being tough as he has to.

Ah - the pool club - Doyle straight through the door! And upstairs, though he's looking a bit wary as he goes in - but very confident... So they must all know him - yeah, Huntley comes out to talk to Doyle. Eep - Doyle smiling that nice smile which means he's about to get very violent... Tin Can brings them together - I like that too. there's actually alot in this ep about all different sorts of relationships, aren't there - Doyle with his old contacts, Bodie with that girl in Africa, the lads with Cowley, the lads together obviously...

Doyle appeals to racial solidarity to get Huntley to give him information - ack for the seventies! Love how Huntley scoffs at Doyle thinking big and international - not Denmark, not Sweden - north of England north!

Heee - the lads give each other a look at the idea of being tethered (hey, this is my subtext, okay?!)... *vvbg*

The lads in new clothes - day three then, eh? Ah, the baddies in a derelict but rather nice-looking old house.

And Tommy fishing in his boat, big grin on his face... Doyle remembered not to bring any beer... with a big grin on his face cos Bodie sounded so hopeful... *g* Many many agents wandering around... Doyle not wanting Bodie to end up with a bullet up his "crankcase" - awww.

Hee - Bodie being all cross while the radio's open, Doyle letting him carry on instead of turning off the radio! But then aww, such an affectionate little grin Doyle gives when Bodie says he should have brought beer and he doesn't care who knows it... *g*

Bodie running! Doyle doing dodging-running - love how he flattens himself to the ground and fires all at once. Doyle re-loads as he gets up - nice touch that... And posh-voice-Bodie... definitely CI5 in-joke.

Doyle being very angry violent at the live raider - voice breaking with it, actually. Bodie rolling his eyes and looking away, he doesn't like it. Aww - Cowley's buying them scotch cos they're both sad. Ah, there's the reason he's smiling (I hope) despite Tommy being killed - they know where they can get hold of the hitman.

More Doyle-angry - very glittery angry eyes there too, before he punches Latimer... and champagne all round, queue titles!

Actually there's alot more in this ep that you might think - ex-cop's attitude not just to race issues (Huntley should be loyal to Tin Can not because it's the right thing to do, but because they're both black and it's a way of getting back at the white guys - except of course if they were really that extreme, surely they'd not be talking to Doyle at all...) but to police brutality - openly acknowledging it, and then effectively partaking in a little.

Speaking of brutality - has anyone else noticed how Torchwood is just like CI5?! SPOILERS for Torchwood ep, if you've not seen it yet - Cowley and Captain Jack both run very secret (well, allegedly secret!) security operations, and neither of them are afraid to indulge in a bit of torture to get the information they need - whether or not the "bad guys" to be tortured are actually working on their own behalf or are relatively innocent... Okay, that actually wasn't very spoilery in the end, yeay. Hmmn, I'm sure there was more to that thought the other day, but I've just had a lovely weekend in London and forgotten the rest of it!

And on that note I think it might be time for me to start thinking about my bed... *g*

They lads where being very close together most of the time, weren't they? Love the way you sum up those eps.

My word but you're a fast reader! *g* I've not even made it over to my flist yet (and I might even have to wait until tomorrow to catch up *is all sleepy*)!

They really were close together! It's funny, I never think of this as a particularly "good" ep, but it's seriously slashy actually! *g*

And thank you! *vbg*

This was a very touchy-feely ep, wasn't it! Can't say that I've ever really noticed before, but it really stood out on this watching. And obviously it wasn't just me that saw it...

Eep, it's closer to next Sunday's than last, but... well, *waves and thinks back...* It really did stand out as touchy-feely this time, didn't it? I wonder why that is - cos we're paying attention to what we're gonna say about it on lj maybe? So we're noticing new things more? Or maybe we do see these things, but they flash through our my mind so quickly that I end up thinking about the next moment instead - but when I'm writing down as I go along, it stands out more?

Or... maybe that's just our lads. Yeay our lads! *g*

Thank you!

I have to admit, there's probably more m/m snogging on Torchwood... *vbg*

I'm soooooooo bad with details... You know, I never really grocked this before? Interesting.

Re: Torchwood. I *totally* thought of CI5 last episode... It really disturbed me how they were treating/processing whats-her-face and I thought *specifically* of Cowley's little "training" speech.

Lol - it is rather spooky about TW/CI5 innit. Nothing changes but it stays the same, as they say - we're obviously still accepting of it as a society, for all the changes we thought had been wrought (in the UK at least)! *sighs for the world*

*goes back to the lads*

Yeah, Cowley never uses "Ray", or... well he does use "Ruth" and "Susan" - oh, and Benny! (Or is it just Doyle that uses "Benny" to Cowley? Hmmn?!)

Oh - Tommy! In a Capri, while the lads are still driving that clunky white Rover(?)... And a black Capri no less, very cool Hee! I had the same thought when I saw it - Tommy gets the coolest black Capri for a single episode, and the lads are still squishing themselves into that tincan looking ..I thought it was a Triumph?? Cortina?? But then I know bugger all about cars.

Bodie, God love him, was just NOT meant to drive one of those things. Nuh-uh.

Oh, it's a Triumph Dolomite, isn't it! It's so funny, I never think of them as Triumphs, you know?! Not like a TR7 or something! Funny thing is, I think the Dolomite's got a much better rep than the Capri, as an actual car to drive...
